Totally agree with you - an excellent traveling song...
A similar experience: about 30 years ago, I was driving solo from El Paso, TX to White City, NM. It was a cool early morning, about 1-2 am, with a full moon, and the song "Texas" by Chris Rea came on the radio.

Bill, please replace this radio edited song for the original. I love the full guitar solo and feel that cutting it short lessens the impact of this beautiful song. I understand why the band would release a commercial radio version, but here on RP I expect to hear the full version.

This whole album from start to finish is a fantastic set of songs about the grief of breaking up to coming back to life again and all the stages in between. Each song so poignant on each stage of grief. Highly recommended for a listen.

Agreed 100% on this track...I just went 9→10 on it...sometimes the message/meaning of a song transcends the music itself (like Lennon's "Imagine" for instance) and that's the case w/ me on this one.

I know another song that I love with a similar name, and this one is just as good if not better.
I simply cannot get enough of this song right now, such a lush feel and so touching. Kinda has a Daniel Lanois vibe to it.
