Hellbound Train I'm on it's track
Too late now to turn my back
Conductor coming ticket in his hand
Come to claim my soul
Take me to his land

Hellbound Train I been so wrong
Too late now I'm moving on
Conductor standing watch in his hand
Got to get aboard take you to his land

I'm going down the road on the Hellbound Train
Take a long look lady 'cause you won't see me again
Take a last look lady, yes hard and long
'Cause I'm going down the road on the Hellbound Train

Hellbound Train driving slow
Move on down to the Hell below
Conductor please won't you lend a hand?
Got to get on board take me to your land

Yes I know I've been so wrong
Too late now I'm moving on
Hellbound Train I'm on it's track
Moving down I can't look back

I'm going down the road on the Hellbound Train
Take a long look lady 'cause you won't see me again
Take a last look lady, yes hard and long
'Cause I'm going down the road on the Hellbound Train

I'm going down the road on the Hellbound Train
Take a long look lady 'cause you won't see me again
Take a last look lady, yes hard and long
'Cause I'm going down the road on the Hellbound Train

Lost and flying down the road on the Hellbound Train
Lost and flying down the road on the Hellbound Train
Hand and hand with the devil

Mighty blast from the hazy rock-n-roll past! KILLER GROOVE! Ted Nugent's great early stuff was laid firmly upon this kind of sound, too; "Stranglehold," "Street Rats," "Together..." Kenny B & me used to JAM to it!

Sweet mother of mercy am I 5 decades late to this party. Face is in danger of melting right off. Thanks for introducing me to yet another band!

For me, not so much the band but this track.  Smoking. Ahh, R.P., you've done it again.

I'd heard of Savoy Brown but don't think I ever heard any of their songs until I started listening to RP.
More please.

Theres an cover from the 4 Non Blondes Album: Bigger, Better, Faster, More! That is quite similar.

Wow! Where the heck have I been?? Awesome stuff, I'm on eBay right now!
Evidently this was added to the playlist about a year ago.
I would have loved a list on the website showing these'new' songs added.
I can only find the new new songs list, (Eilish, Gaga & al - that aren't that interesting as this!)
Now that was tasty!
How did you all miss this? I have been listening to SB since high school. Well, not steadily. I have other music I like too.
Very reminiscent of a band from the same era, around 1973 called SNAFU and their song 'Long Gone'. Good grooves too!
This is my new favorite song, thanks to RP!!
I heard a live recording, too. I think the studio version gets the drum and bass done up better.
dang good music
I think the train is made of cymbals, what with how hard they're riding them!
I get to see Kim Simmonds every few years at Moondog's in Blawnox.  Great shows.

Love the groovy bass line in this song.  The guitar reverb is awesome too.  Savoy's voice was great back then.
Wow, having a severe flashback - no one plays this. And now I know the origins of Foghat - what a great hard rock boogie band. Please play them RP.
I remember this group, ever so vaguely.....glad to hear them here on RP! Thanks Bill and Rebecca, for all you do  to give us the greatest variety anywhere!
