Here is where Suzie flew
After she said goodbye
A thousand shades of blue
In her electric eyes
Into the outer light
The wings go to space
Listen for the sound
Of you
Here is where Suzie fell
Into your bloody hands
Hoping to fly away
Before she's hypnotized
Staring into your eyes
Your face is all out of place
Melting into the leaves
Giving to the trees

Recognized the sample used, it is from Serge Gainsbourg's "Couleur café". Nice tune.

Yeah, it and the soaring guitar (?) kind of overpower her singing.  Releasing another edit with toned-down percussion and guitar-synth might be nicer.
Looking at the release date I couldn't resist:
22 = 11 + 11

I think that the term is Caesura.
Hearing this again,  I went from 8 to a 9, but when I checked out the lyrics, they are weirdly cool for me, so I moved it to 10. Always a happy place for me with RP!
Something creative is missing. Does it sound AI generated?

Your thoughts? (be kind as I'm not dissing the song.)

Always "new discoveries" on RP!!

And, it would take me a minute, to say it any better! This track pulls one right in... IMHO

hey! that's awesome - i appreciate you letting me know as it was so intriguing to me and i'm glad to find out it has a name/actual term. i love this place - just one more reason - sharing info. thanks again!

**EDIT - interesting, when i look up the meaning for that, i get a lot of completely different answers...so, not sure that's exactly it.

i really like that "pause" or whatever it's called in the arrangement.

I like the song but the ending is really annoying.

Third time this week I have been listening to a song, it caught my ear and I had to look it up on RP.  All three songs have been by Phantogram.  I know it's all a matter of random timing - but I've never heard Phantogram on RP until this week.   Guess I just wasn't listening at the right times.
Reminds me of Talk Talk when the guitar comes in. Unfortunately, that sets a very high bar.
Even though this sound isn't in my regular listening range, it really is quite attentive, start to finish.
What a discovery and deja vu...parts of my family grew up in tiny Greenwich NY and to enjoy this band that claims this to be home is a first for me and my 60 years of chasing music.
reminds me of Shearwater in a good way

Great band, and a very good album. This track is "good" but there are better and more compelling ones on this album.
Reminds me of Enigma... in a good way. :)
Seems melancholy to me.
Giving a 6 rating to start off.
pfffffffffff

Nice new tune, new for me at least. Love the singer's voice.
Nice!  Glad to have them back!
