I'm just like a hungry little flea
Jumping on somebody's warm body
When you start to itch and scratch and scream
Once I'm in, you can't get rid of me
Once I'm in, you can't get rid of me

Drip you in diamonds, pour you in cream
You will be mine for eternity
Hair in my shears fall at your feet
You will be mine for eternity

When you're walking down your sunny street
I got it
Thinking of your bills or what to eat
I got it, I, I got it
Then you feel that little prick from me
I got it, I, I got it
Look at you and all I see is meat

Drip you in diamonds, pour you in cream
You will be mine for eternity
I'll bring you China milk for your tea
You will be mine for eternity

Eternity

Drip you in diamonds, pour you in cream
You will be mine for eternity
Hair in my shears fall at your feet
You will be mine, my everything

OK, that was....different.  In a good way, I think.  I have to admit that's the first St. Vincent song I've heard from beginning to end.
I can see why she's polarizing - I need to listen to more.
So far this is a 7
I saw her live in Boston a couple months ago. What a great show. My friend who turned me on to her a while back described it as some David Byrne + some Prince (not fair to Annie, David or Prince, I know!). So fun to see her having fun with this material and absolutely shredding on guitar!
I like this one more every time I hear it. Great sounds, great mix, killer bridge, cool interlude. She's legit.
My only negative comment is this is on a lot.  But yeah that break is some real craftsmanship, you have to stop and listen.  The song brings together some nice elements of late 70s, 80s, and early 90s rock.

#TRUTH!!! Get outta my head!
The main part of the song is meh, but the break is gorgeous. Upping my rating by 1 for the break alone…

OK, but what about what you can hear pop up?
;) I quite like her songs myself. It's strange because she does have a sound of her own, and yet she comes up with very different tunes.
LLRP!
Das ist sehr erfrischender Sound, top!

So much better than impure trash.
(Gotta admit this track doesn't do much for me.)

nice
Keep her coming
Wait, that wasn’t a double entendre
You potty heads
Very cool guitar stuff. Rolling Stone (October 2023) rates St. Vincent stronger than the likes of Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton, Jack White, Brian May, Frank Zappa, lots of other "big name" guitarists - and I believe it. Keep it comin'!
Her Austin City Limits performance from 2018 (i think) was fantastic.
A step back, but a good one. Annie admits as much, for an artist that has progressed as much as she has, not a bad move. Breathe,  then move forward at your own pace. Nothing wrong with that at all.
