In an unrelated incident of a Latino performer causing a furor at a baseball game, it was Jose Feliciano who first played a non-traditional version of the National Anthem at a sporting event. Apparently he received death threats for a long time afterwards. I'm sure there's a vid of it somewhere.

Oh, I am expecting the health care reform to pass... I am counting on it... and I disagree with you on how Obama presents himself... I think it is refreshing to see such a sharp and intelligent president with constant contact with the public after eight years of Bush hiding most of the time, and popping up occasionally and looking quite dumb...
things are just so exciting now... this is gonna be a fun summer... we are gonna have some exciting conversations here, Doc! Hope you have a spring in your step, and the wind in your back...
Mr. Obama has now gone longer without a 'presser' than at any point during Mr. Bush's 8 years in office. So, who pops up now and then? Sure, Mr. Obama keeps in constant contact with the public...he's still campaigning...it is well past time to act like he's President. And his town halls? Of course, hand picked cheerleading idolizing zealots. There are reasons Mr. Obama's approval numbers are closer to 40 than 50: he is slowly being rejected by more and more as the veneer of a very thin coat, wears off the man behind the curtain. The Emperor has no clothes! Who knew? Intelligent? The so-called Constitutional Scholar, in his SOTU Address, placed part of The Declaration of Independence into The Constitution. That was truly stupid, no other way to view it but truly stupid and made worse by a so-called Scholar *I say that because he allowed others to call him that...given his mistake that would not be tolerated in the first semester of US Government, he's a so-called as far as I am concerned*. And then, there's the way he said the word CORPSMAN...corpseman is how he said it. CORPSEMAN...he's either an idiot or he has fooled others into thinking him an intelligent man. Take away his teleprompter and he stammers more than the late Foster Brooks...thus far, I've not heard anything approaching the wordings or verbalizing of an intellectual, rather, the opposite is what I've heard: token appeals, choice slogans, repeated statements, double-speak and blame for all others but not for self... keep the spring you have...I know you're full of wind... ciao amici...

What do you think the ratings for the Republicans are? Surely you don't believe the Republicans rate higher than the Democrats in Congress? That would be ironic... the Republicans are terrified about health reform passing, because it will hurt them in November if it does... if they thought it would help them in November for the health reform to pass, they would let the Democrats hang themselves... but the Republicans know if it passes, it will make Obama and the Democrats look good, and the Republicans are terrified... as Shakespeare would say, "Methinks the Republicans doth protest too much..."
when asked a generic match up, R v D, a growing number of respondents go with R...and that trend has held now for several months...it could change, but it shows great troubles ahead for Democrats in Congress... you make too much of uhc, not held in high regard as currently cobbled together... a majority of the public reject what is being offered...that hurts Democrats, not Republicans... the ratings for either R or D are low and that is as they should be...both Parties are acting like juvenile's and that includes the biggest juvenile of them all, the almost never Presidential President, Mr. Obama...he's so much like an angry community organizer, ever willing to swipe at others, to blame others, to allow others to walk ahead should there be a trip wire...he needs to act more Presidential and less a partisan hackneyed pom pom shaker...he also needs to talk jobs, that's what Americans want most...jobs. They continue to reject uhc and Mr. Obama, clearly ideological on this, acts as if this is all that matters...uhc. Think about it: if uhc was so damn good, it would be a done deal...that not enough Dems are lined up should say all that needs to be said on the matter...Dems have the votes in numbers, but apparently not in conviction...that screams volumes.

Oh, no, it is looking really bad right now for the Republicans, Doc... that is why they are so frightened... they are running around in circles like chickens with their heads cut off... now, that is not saying that things are looking glorious for incumbent Democrats, either... Congress is ranked in the 20's in both parties... the Democrats have a slight edge, because people remember that it was the Republicans who caused the economic disaster... it may be time for a lot of new faces... we shall see... it is just so exciting...
rt...we're either looking at different polls or we look at the same polls and see them differently...no matter how a poll is worded, or who conducts it, Republicans in a generic square off with Democrats, win and they win with an expanding margin...of course next November is political light years away so anything can happen...but people remember? Please...you're talking about a public that includes too many who don't know who their Governor is, let alone what Republicans did or didn't do *as for the economic disaster...years in the making my friend...years in the making*

No. I never have been. Your puerile and insulting response would seem to show something about your confidence in your own learning abilities. I apologize for not knowing your nationality, but knowing that is not really that important to me. However, I am familiar with your responding to questions with insults. I asked that question of you because I thought you may have been an expatriate. Perhaps one day we could meet in a bar, maybe in NYC, where you could learn some manners. (That's an ironic joke - given the title of the thread, especially since I can't afford to go back to NYC anymore.)

Oh, no, I am not going to gamble on it... I just reckon there will be many more new faces in Congress next year... and the Republicans are terrified right now... just look at Doc's post— Republicans are scared silly... especially since Obama has a good chance of passing his health care reform— that is going to hurt the Republicans tremendously in the election in November... it is just so exciting... I love American politics... keeps life interesting...
rt...you're one funny dude...yea, we Republicans are shaking...just a-quiverin' of nervous OMG'S!... poll after poll by pollsters of every stripe show that Nov. will be hellish for Democrats...as for uhc passing...I'd say less than 50-50...so I guess that's a good chance? *if it had a good chance, they would have voted today, or yesterday, or last Monday, or tomorrow...they simply lack the YES votes in The House...and that means *drum roll* not enough Democrats lined up with uhc *of course, let us blame Republicans...that dovetails nicely with denial over the plummeting fortunes of His Annointed One...*
