This is how stupid the GOP is: the whole point behind how well a large nation functions is if its heterogeneity is taken into account when planning for its citizens. The GOP is showing us that it thinks this giant nation, full of urban and rural and native and foreign and white- and blue-collar and educated and undereducated and hungry and full people - that they all want a homogenous caucasian population. Everyone else is a parasite and a problem.
Of course, that means that they're really admitting that in the face of a challenge by a different skin color or culture that they won't persevere. (Notice how this is the antithesis of capitalism which is survival of the fittest!)
I think, in calmer times, if you asked if
1) government should be smaller and more efficient and lawful and
2) immigration should be thoughtful and controlled and
3) we should have a strong military with international allies and
4) pedophiles are bad...
you would've gotten a pretty unanimous response.
But the GOP - unequivocally led by donald trump, make no mistake - has used clunky, inefficient, costly, cruel approaches to these issues. They have become a party of violence, ignorance, waste, spinelessness, and greed.
Nothing they are doing contradicts that.
Very well put. They've also openly become the party of hate. There are Republicans willing to endure a loss of rights and freedoms so long as "other people"—Blacks, immigrants, women, gays—suffer or lose more.
It should be obvious to Republicans that when you entrust a Big Man to replace democracy, the rich and powerful are going to engage in corruption and crony capitalism. And the Big Man will use FUD/hate to make his supporters think they're winning.
I think a lot of Americans have given up in trying to stay engaged in politics and just want someone to tell them what to do/think.

This is who they have always been. They just feel more comfortable expressing it openly now.

Garbage people using a garbage song at a garbage protest. Not to mention the glaring irony of using a vanilla ice song while complaining about 'replacement' theory (well, not really theory, 'replacement garbage disingenuous argument of the day') .

Let's just say for the sake of argument that they were all 18 years old. Let's leave the pedo talk aside just for the sake of argument. Are we saying these girls were free to come and go as they pleased? That there wasn't any payment to them or to Epstein? At the very least we're talking about prostitution and human trafficking. Bill Clinton got impeached for getting a knobber from a 20-something who was not either of those things.
