No. ======== I heard back from Bill that the Amazon link on the Affiliates page is correct, the US site now evidently uses cookies to track your session. This makes me think that *going* to the amazon page that comes up when you click, and bookmarking that, will NOT work. However if you copy the link URL as it is on the Affiliates page (it contains the radioparadise identifier etc), that should work as your bookmark. So make a bookmark, and edit it so its URL is what's on the affiliates page. OR just bookmark the affiliates page. That's rock solid.

1. Yes. Your initial click only lasts for that session but anything you add to your shopping cart and ultimately pay for days or months later will still count. 1b. No, that would allow you to cut other associates out, should you happen to discover an item on some blog somewhere, they wouldn't be thrilled to not get the cut. If you back out and go to RP, search for the thing and buy it then, that's pretty fair. 2. Yes. Bookmark the link on the Affiliates page and that will work.
Edit: HOWEVER I think the US amazon link might be borken right now. Will check with Bill... it should show up on amazon with a code in the URL that follows you wherever you click... but it just shows as http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/subst/home/home.html, no RP affiliate code in there.

Questions: 1. Is it always necessary to click-through for RP to get its kickback? There's no way to set up my Amazon.com account to do this by default? 2. If #1 above is true, then can I at least make a bookmark with the RP front page link? Will that work?

I feel fairly smug good about this as we bought our "each other" Christmas present by clicking through to Amazon from RP and ordering a 28" Panasonic LCD TV.
This is big news for us as although MrsHJ's 14" portable was fine, our eyesight is increasingly less so.
Hooray! TV we can see. Hefty kick-back to RP. Everyones a winner!
P.S. If you're buying an LCD TV make sure it's 100Hz - Schmoooove!
And Amazon were brilliant - 24hrs from order to delivery, and oodles of emails to update progress - I feel for the guy who received delivery at the Exeter depot at 4am, before sending it on its way shortly after.

Bill, you really need to get the Shop at Amazon link back onto the front page!
I've been searching for it for what seems like forever!
Are you nuts? Why would you want to bury that?
I'm gonna look for a bit longer, but if I can't find it I'll just go directly to Amazon. I'd really rather use your link to help you guys out...
Support RP page: http://www.radioparadise.com/content.php?name=AffiliatesBut yes, I agree that it's kinda buried.
