Rather depressing.  The album title sets the tone throughout. One only has to look at the song titles. A while back at work I put her Car Wheels on a Gravel Road album at work and this guy (temporary worker, thankfully) said, Will someone shoot her and put her out of her misery. lol But I still enjoyed the album. She can drone on but there's something about her voice that I find soothing, relaxing. But I'm not familiar with her earlier work, the only other albums I have are Car Wheels..., Essence and World Without Tears.

Inspired by KurtfromLaQuinta's stellar No Surf Mix of Beach Boys material I promised myself I'd spend more time with them. Cold snowy day seemed like a good day to hit the Beach!

Before becoming a Yacht Rock staple in the late 70's Boz Scaggs had a pretty good Rocking Blues style band with all the horns. Picked this up in a dollar bin, plays really well despite the wear on the cover.
