This is exactly what I have been saying from day one of this and he is also correct regarding Trump's culpability in this for how it went down.
So why won't Republicans support a bi-partisan commission to review what happened on the day?
Because ultimately the enemy of my enemy is my friend or things are not as they appear. In other words, who says that all establishment Republicans like Trump? There are many Republicans who are quite pleased with the outcome and quite frankly have much to hide in complicity of this particular issue. However they were caught off guard by the losses of Senate seats. That did not go as planned. Ahhh bipartisanship at its best.
“Truth will out” is the most popular fairy tale in Washington. Members of Congress are clashing over whether politicians will appoint an “independent” commission to reveal the facts behind the January 6 Capitol ruckus. Proponents are portraying the issue as a simple choice between “truth or Trump.”
Recent history provides no reason to expect a politically controlled process to expose facts that undermine powerful politicians. Congress has long been worse than useless as a fact-finding agency. “Oversight” is a euphemism for stupefying congressional procedures designed to avoid discovering information that might embarrass their allies. A senior House Republican admitted in 2004: “Our party controls the levers of government. We're not about to go out and look beneath a bunch of rocks to cause heartburn.” Most members of Congress are more likely to grovel before federal agencies than to challenge their power. “How are you so great and how can we help you?” is the usual response when the FBI director testifies, as Guardian columnist Trevor Timm noted in 2016.
By the way, that avocado is not quite ripe enough to eat...
I,being one of the people I railed about, just mindlessly googled a pic to go with the fact I was fascinated with rather than go to all the effort of actually figuring out what extinct creature carried the seeds around, building a time machine, hunting one down and anesthetizing it in order to humanely extract the seed from it's intestines, germinate them, transplant them, wait for them to grow and THEN take a pic,.....OH NO!! I used up all my commas just when I was on a roll.
You can tell by the color and texture there. That one would have very little flavor. Like bananas there is a short period where they are most flavorful just before turning brown and bitter. Selecting them for immediate use or for days later is a bit of a trick, but worth the skill. At least that's my experience with them.

There is no animal alive that eats the avocado seed, and its too big to be transported by wind. It is believed to have evolved to be carried by a now extinct species.
