When I got in the car this morning and plugged my Iphone in CarPlay opened fine, but RP seemed to restart and after that blip, My Favorites (my Go-To listen) wasn’t playing (The Main Mix was) and my Favorites wasn’t even showing in the menu!! I see MF on my Roku here at home … I hate to complain, because it’s so nice to actually be able to play RP in the car … but …
roku app just crashed and
wouldn't restart. I rebooted and it is still dead. Tries to load, gets to the music screen then dies and the rolu home page pops up.
Similar trouble above, see Roku trouble: drops RP. No solutions found yet...
Favorites Playlist only playing 45 min blocks. Then turns off. If I hit play—it repeats the 45 min block it just played. I have to load a new station, then reload Favorites to get 45 min of the station again. Been like this for at least a week—is it just me? Help please.
Hi all :o)
The comments and ratings screen has gone blank in recent days. Sad git that I am, I miss the bons mots of other listeners and the ability to rate. Is this a general problem on Android phones, or am I just unlucky? I still get the music, thoigh, so I'm happy :)
On the latest Android app version, there seems to be a regression regarding offline playback:
On an older version, I would download x hours of a mix.
Upon starting to play that downloaded mix, songs would be removed from the download as they were played.
This meant that after restarting playback (e.g.: on the next day), playback would start with a fresh, as yet unheard song.
On the current version, this is no longer the case.
I would download x hours of a mix.
Upon starting to play that downloaded mix, songs would remain in the download, even as they finished playing.
This means that after restarting playback, the first song would play again.
To me, this degrades the offline playback ability significantly, as I would have to completely re-download a mix of x hours in order to hear new songs.
In summary, please remove songs from the downloaded mix as they are played.
Roku app isnât launching. It opens for a split second then closes immediately. Tried restarting Roku. No change. Anyone else having problems with Roku? Any advice?
Can we get back the auto-play when starting the iOS app? Two days before the new app came out, I programmed my iPhone's Action Button to launch RP. I would get into my car, press it, and boom RP began playing. Perhaps a listening graphic designer could give you some pro-bono input on the Home Screen, etc. Other than that, I'm really loving the updated curation that includes a wider variation of genre's in the main Mix!
I have no idea how that might work in the UK. Elsewhere, the fallback is always TuneIn, but they don't operate in the UK.
It started working normally a day or so after I posted, so hopefully just a one-off glitch.
Unrelated, but the songs I'm hearing on the Echo Dot (station stream not skill, but reproducible with the Android RP app on my phone) seem to be 2 possibly 3 songs in advance of whatever is showing on the website now playing list - I'm currently listening to "One Perfect Sunrise" (Orbital) which started at 18:09 UK Time but the now playing list currently shows The Flood (Katie Melua) which started at 18:08 (it didn't - it played at 18:02:50) and I heard it 2 songs ago.
Edit: Possibly a caching issue, but I'm seeing the same issue across 2 devices and 3 browsers (Android, Firefox/Windows and Chrome/Windows). I have cleared the caches, but refreshing/loading the now playing page is still showing stale data ie. "Pinie (feat. orbit)" (Parra for Cuva) as the current song with a timestamp of 18:04 when it is now 18:20. Odd.
for song comments, it would be nice if the top was in it's own frame (new,old...), so it doesn't scroll away (remains at the top, so you could write a new, or switch your view).
Don't know if it's a bug or a feature request, but here are some things I have noticed with the new v9 iOS app:
I cannot see what the remaining time is of a song that's playing
There is a large previous icon while playing, but as you are not able to go back in a playlist I don't see the point of showing that button. Don't know for sure if that button was there with the old app, but I can see it's not showing in the web player. With a little redesign that leaves more room for other information (like the remaining time for instance
)
