How interesting. Because earlier this morning I stopped by my favorite 2nd hand shop and the guy I buy albums from recommended this brand new album by Mean Mary: Portrait Of A woman Part 1 and 2. I'm not much of a fan of banjo playing but I took his word for it. Will play it sometime this week.
This is not the BSB you'll find on Youtube, it's the one founded by local hero Hallie Rugheimer. CD was recorded in the Czech Republic back in the '90s as part of an international folk music festival.

TIL. I'm close enough to Castlemaine that I could probably pick them up on air if I had a radio. Guess I'll try in the car. Didn't even know about them so thanks.
Castlemaine is a nice little town. It has become quite twee recently. People commute down to Melbourne, which sounds horrible, although there is pretty good train service.
"It's A Jangle Out There" is one of my favorites.
Can't hear them live because it comes on sometime very early Thursday morning here in California. And I'm in bed.
Debbie's having a Christmas luncheon/ party for the retired teachers starting at 11:30 this morning.
I made a playlist of songs for her and it's playing now.
UGH.
At least I snuck some unique gems into the mix.
Time to go out into the garage and put on the Top 30 Songs from 2025 from "It's A Jangle Out There", Castlemain, Australia.
Way better than Christmas music.
