It's the same feeling I got with the close of Harp magazine.  Fortunately, No Depression and Paste continue online, Harp concluded both print and online in 2006.

Over the years, it broadened its focus to include film, electronic games, and books, perhaps at the expense of its core subscriber base. The downturn in ad revenue across the industry caused Paste last year to ask subscribers for contributions to keep it open. On Tuesday, it gave staff two hours to clean out their desks.
