I can't think about my old Grandaddy, gone these last 33 years, without remembering his house way down yonder in the pawpaw patch...and his back porch with rabbits and squirrels and various and sundry other critters all skinned and waiting their turn in the cook-pot...My Grandfather was a brick and stone mason, and worked in DC in the 30's, building in the Capital Mall. I wish he was here so I could ask him a few relevant questions about squirrels and such...

1969...a 7-11 near the campus (U of Maryland)...went out with two buds, both of whom would become Montgomery County (Maryland) Cops...they dropped acid, I stuck with a doobie...as one was standing in the store directing, as in music, a rack of Twinkies and related products, I snitched one...the munchies made me do it. Sorry 'Oh Thank Heaven'...

That broken stained-glass window, the one in the mansion in Oslo, about 2 metres in diameter, back in the winter of '74/'75, the window that was mysteriously smashed in?
It was Ernie Brumfield and me.
Malicious mischief was one of our favourite things to do at the time.
And yes, I'm sorry.

I've worn my share of wool sweaters and I still wear wool socks but if you've ever seen what a herd of prairie maggots does to a piece of range, you'd agree: the more of 'em get made into coats, the better.

And you bought it second-hand for cripes sake. You're going GREEN. and speaking of green, just make sure there's no mold or mildew in the pits of that coat - some unfinished hides/suedes can get funky if they don't get stored well. Remember, if God didn't want us eating or wearing animals, he wouldn't have made out them of meat and had them be be so warm.

The lamb is long somebody's stew. It no longer needs its coat.

I once owned a real leopard coat... It was my great-great aunt's from back when they didn't know about endagered species or fur-free. It was about 60 years old when I inherited it and I never felt bad. I miss that coat actually. I used to have a bunny fur, too, also inherited, but I left it at my grandmother's when I moved south for someother relative to inherit. Didn't see the need for it in Florida. And don't they just shear the lambs anyways?
