If this was but one misstep on Trump's part I'd be willing to say that he was simply misguided and accept that he just didn't know what he was doing at the time. The problem is that Trump's resume to-date is overflowing with lies and missteps and he's perennially misguided on just about everything he says and does. To little too late? Does that even need to be asked? Without a doubt! 

I hold the position of president to a high standard... one that it appears that our Apprentice President Trump (regardless of how much time he gets under his belt) has no hope of ever coming close to meeting. 

I'm tired of this do-nothing train-wreck called Trump. I'm tired of other nations laughing at us and losing credibility with other world leaders. I can't wait for the GOP to finally turn on him and someone with credentials and enough balls (McCain?) steps up to truly get the impeachment ball rolling. Enough is enough.

We're beyond the point of witty comments, personal politics, and trying to convince each other who's right and who's wrong. The freedom we enjoy to put our opinions in this Forum without being dragged into the street and shot is in serious jeopardy.  Those that don't see that are either not paying attention or don't give a damn.

Hmm, it wasnt a cop out, in that i was never excusing him for his behavior.  I believe at his core he's no bigger criminal, megalomaniac...asshole, than many of our previous leaders.  And certainly no worse than Hillary.  The one big difference is his "manners.," for lack of a better word.  His inability to keep all his faults and lies hidden (twitter), like most politicians, creates tremendous volatility...creates risk for us all. His response to NK is a prime example.  But, maybe this fact alone does make him a bigger asshole. 

Still he is the president, and has that right for another 3.5 years.  I think it would be better if we attempted to focus on his true faults, the real issues, instead of making a federal case out of every bit nonsense, or even comment, that comes out of this administration.  Keep pounding away at the real problems, and dont sweat the small stuff...might make the opposition a little more effective. 

This is a cop-out statement. Saying all presidents (at least in our memory) are assholes only serves to suggest that Trump is just another asshole in a long line of assholes and therefore he's no worse and blah blah blah.  

Trump is absolutely the worst president in my life's memory going back to John Kennedy, and given I bother to study history once in awhile, one of the 2-3 worst ever.  And his inept contemporaries on that list didn't have worldwide, 24X7 instant communications and massive nuclear arsenals.  That alone puts him at the top of my Worst Ever list.  It's not even that his heart is in the right place but he's just "new to the job", or that he means well but just likes to kid a lot. He's an intellectual fool, self-absorbed with the image he created of himself, and used to getting his own way, ethics, laws and common decency be damned. He could give a flying fuck about the rest of us, as long as he gets what he wants.

We've handed this dangerous maniac the keys to the greatest country ever devised by man, the most powerful and world-threatening arsenal of weapons ever created by man, and unchecked authority to send atomic weapons thousands of times more potent than Fat Man & Little Boy that could, in fact, set off a chain reaction of events that would make The Road seem like a child's fairy tale. Civilization-ending inhalation.  I'm not being verbose - this is a real thing, has been since the '50s.  Every president since Eisenhower knew this and treated the prospect with is due reverence, "assholes" that anyone may have deemed them to be.

I have no bone to pick with you. I've seen your name & posts from time to time but can't say I know anything about you. I've been forced to stop dealing with this by not watching the news, not engaging in the dialog, and burying my deadhead in the sand of the Grateful Dead catalog.  I can no longer look away and wait this out. This poor excuse for a human being has got to go, and soon. 

Resist or explain yourselves when we're standing on the smoldering ashes of our heritage. Resist and stop wrapping yourselves in the guise of Patriotism and slogans. Resist or in the end it won't matter.
