I don't know what it's like where you all live⦠The people here have an extreme depth perception problem when it comes to getting behind a car at a signal.
I've seen between one to six car lengths between cars. What's up with that? The problem seems to be getting worse in the last couple years.
I've been tempted to parallel park between some of these people at the signals.
Particularly annoying when it is in an added turn lane that fills up so that the next car ends up with its ass out in traffic. Or they are in the through lane and stop so you can't get into the turn lane and miss the turn arrow.
My theory: They're stopping sooner than they should because they're in a hurry to check their phones while they're at the light, because that's obviously more important than safely and considerately operating a motor vehicle. Oh, and of course, when the light turns, sometimes, they don't start moving until the light turns yellow.
Cops are pretty hard on this here. Friend got a ticket when she glanced down at her phone while stopped at a light. I think the speed cameras will also fine people who are on their phone while driving.
The thing is, that if your phone is in a mount attached to the car then it is assumed to be used for maps and directions so it is legal to get distracted by it.

They're trying to read Justine's bumper stickers.

I was at the mall earlier this afternoon. As I was leaving the parking lot, I headed towards an exit with 3 lanes: one for entry, one for exiting left and one for exiting right. There was a car in the Right Exit lane (the lane I was using also) blinking left. They were not turning right. They're lucky I wasn't turning left also.

Yup I agree. Have car manufacturers install Tasers that will taser their azzes if not paying attention to signals while on the phone. That will get things moving.

What I notice - or maybe just what annoys me most - is people who stop and then creep up until they're IN the intersection, or stop three car-lengths behind the car in front of them and then creep in little moves. It's like they're afraid if they actually STOP they'll never move again. guh

Denver is known to be one of the worst cities for bad drivers. Itâs like Mad Max on the highways.

They do this thing called a "reset" wherein they relocate everything; I HATE that.
They recently did a reset on the pet food aisle and the cans of cat food are now at the other end. I find myself asking for help more lately because things move around too much.
