It's good to know your limits. We always recognize the possibility. I try to only do it when I know the dog won't work for us, or our circumstance won't allow it. I knew this one was a maybe, and she's working out pretty well. Definitely into the travel groove.
Not sure if I mentioned it here, but L renamed Sonya to Sally. In hindsight it was an obvious red flag. She failed miserably at foster and is now our dog. Lenny is happy, L is happy, oddly I was the holdout, but that's over and she's a forever dog now.
Shel be hanging out until she finds a furever home. Happy, spunky lab mix for any PNW (or beyond) peeps.

It's the season here lots of rain and sun. We don't do anything for it and this is the back yard, so I'm surprised it looks this good. The front yard is a mess, but we rent and I don't really care, so...
Middy definitely slowed down at the end, but I attributed it to summer heat. Our regular vet, on a Friday, thought it might be arthritis pain, but early that Sunday morning she coughed up blood. Took her to the emergency vet, and had to let her go that evening. I'm so sorry.
i was told that lung cancer is rare in dogs
possibly started in another location and migrated to her lungs
noticed a slight decline before we left
at first doc thought it might be a back sprain (she is going on fifteen and usually pretty active)
because younger pup in our house
Lost a kitty to lung cancer years ago, doc said it was likely genetic.
