Thinking back to those early days and the fun we had as we all bonded, sight unseen, and then the meetups began and the rest is history. Thanks to Mr. Bill, and his lovely better half Rebecca, for literally saving lives with Radio Paradise. {#Good-vibes}

The 20th anniversary of RP is coming up which got me thinking about how to commemorate this milestone. 20 years in Internet radio is surely worth more than a hundred chronological years, when you think about how many other web radio stations have come and gone during this time.

I'm not sure if B&R have anything planned to mark the occasion. My suggestion is to air the entire playlist from the inaugural broadcast day, if you still have that in the archives. I think it would be an interesting listen, especially since most folk around here were probably not around for the launch. It would also enable the audience to see how the station has evolved over time.

Of course, if you don't wish to do anything at all, that's fine by me.

We haven't thought about that, but we're certainly open to suggestions. Unfortunately, our playlist archive doesn't go back that far, so that one wouldn't work.

Maybe a countdown of the most played....highest rated...Most popular songs by release year during that time (which would eliminate the Beatles, Zeppelin and Beethoven?

Happy 20th Anniversary Bill and Rebecca, and to the whole RP community who also make Radio Paradise what it is with your insightful, funny, grouchy and weird contributions. I only discovered RP a year ago and wish I'd found you much sooner, but at least I have found you. I certainly needed to. This last year has been horrendous and RP has helped immensely bringing much needed relief. It's not just about the great music - far from it: my Spotify account was basically an RP playlist. No, RP adds something more, much more - humanity. And it's that that's helped - the sense of not being so completely alone. It's not a fix of course and I don't expect it to be, but I appreciate the gift very much. Thank you everyone. Love to you all.

Thank you Bill & Rebecca!
I found you pert near 19 years ago by pure chance - who’d a thunk entering “eclectic music” into whatever proto-google search engine I used back then would bring me to this oasis! My fondness for you was immediate. This was, and still is the only online community which I have ever participated, so thank you for fostering such a warm and thoughtful group of citizens.
I remember you both stopping through Portland where we met with Leslie, Hippie and 1Jerry, then soon after, the first Spring Fling where I met a host of other amazing folks. Despite being fantastically dazed, but not confused, I remember every moment.
Since then, you have (gently) guided my musical tastes in directions I would not have ventured and for that, I am forever grateful.
I don't get around much anymore, but I am always listening.

I've been a listener for nearly the entire 20 years ... and yes, the friendships!

It says 18 years for me. A couple of you were here then and are here now but y'all are a rare breed. :cheers:
