I'm running the latest stable Kodi on a headless mini pc with Ubuntu 24.02. I can control it with either Kone (the official Kodi remote) or Yatse which I like better. Everything works fine except when I try to use the RP add on from the Kodi repository. Kone auto disables it upon launch. With Yayse it will actually launch and play but from then on you have no control over it or Kodi not even to stop it. Have ssh in and reboot it. If I try the same add on on my daily driver pc running Opensuse Tumbleweed through the actual Kodi interface it works just fine. I used to run Jriver Media Center and it played RP just fine but I've got to blind to see it well on the Android tablet I use for a remote.  Would be nice to be able run it on the headless pc with Kodi.My music library is on another mini pc I set up as a NAS running TrueNas.  Any ideas?

Ouch. Thats an expensive and nifty system you seem to be running there. 
Well then, good luck on all your endeavors to come! 

(Perhaps, you can contact the script-author directly, as he doesn't seem to frequent this forum all too often.)

What OS is your older Kodi version running on?

If it runs on an Android_TV, or on MacOS, you can always install the corresponding native RadioParadise app, which makes the Kodi-addon script for RP somewhat obsolete, I think. Even Windows has an RP app.
If Kodi is run on Linux, there are other ways to get around the sense of lacking something: 'Shortwave' is a nice app to play RP on Linux systems, among others. 'Sayonara' isn't bad, either. 
And on any system, overall, VLC works great.

Giacomo Tufano, who developed the first RP app for Mac and iOS (afaik) also did a port of Shortwave for Mac. Too bad, he didn't continue that one, imho. - Curiously, I can't help but think, he must have obtained a better job, working for RP as iOS developer. Of course, I'm just guessing,  out of merely thin air, here.

I'm running Kodi Leia on my Qnap NAS,  which is connected to a TV though HDMI. I've been using the 'Radio' addon to listen to RP and this works OK, but a few days ago I ran into the RP Kodi addon while testing Kodi Matrix on a PC, and really liked how it picked up album art as well as allowing for FLAC streaming. That's why I asked if there was the possibility of a Leia compatible version.

And yes, I could upgrade Kodi on the NAS to Matrix, but at the moment Matrix lacks some customisation features and addons Leia does offer... ;)

So, thank you big time, for writing and putting up that RP script! Works like a charm! - (A "skip song" feature would even add to the pleasure. I do realize, that asking for this, or even a sign-in and song-rating features would be 'too much', as you probably don't want to write a new Android app! Hahaha).

And finally, Kodi v19 has been released, so once your Kodi-running device has been updated, you should find the addon in the "Music Addons" category.

As for Kodi, I keep reading more about copyright-infringements, lately, and lawsuits, people getting arrested, etc. bc of illegal streams implemented in such systems, like TV boxes, etc.
