I am so fortunate that we slowed enough in our 20's to get the 2 year attention span needed to finally get my ATA degree in community college. I am electronics genetically- Pop did the 35 for hp and made free agency that way; also had 19 patents. But I grew up with aspergers and no one knew it. Found out at 58 hearing Temple Grandin's Ted Talk "It takes all kinds of minds" on NPR one afternoon. Got the degree at 29, in 1984 and dove in. Been fixing touring and recording players since.
Labors of love allow us to remain empathetic. I practice random acts of empathy- we note people who show unusual sensitivity in a sedated culture, and once touched we will make a copper mesh rose for that person to simply acknowledge their value in a mere bauble. But these don't wilt with seasons. First one ended up being my Magnetics Master Mentor's grave marker when he passed at the time. They just patina.
I was a visual artist First. Very visual- photographic memory we now see lol as it goes- distractable. A sensitive boy. Math nearly broke school for me. Now with applications its so obvious and intuitive, its the second language that stuck finally. So we solder up formed mesh into roses; poor soldering technique doon just right before it becomes poor, allows a couple representative pricks on the stem. No need for photo realism here lol. But beautiful roses come with danger on the stems; we merely suggest this.
But great show. Not a burner but thats such a male drenched space count gramps out.
