Radio Paradise

Kiwi was a feral at Justine's mom's house. Her indoor cat didn't like him so he never came inside, but would eat on the patio. She was able to get him to be sociable and he spent his days lounging poolside. Kiwi's mother never did warm up but she came around at dinnertime. When it came time to pack up the house for the last time, Justine wanted to find them homes but the momcat was nowhere to be found. The hostile indoor-cat was adopted by neighbors and Kiwi immediately came inside and said "yeah I guess I could live here," but instead he got whisked into a carrier and hauled to Wyoming. Justine had a home lined up for him but they ghosted her when she got back! After he'd been here a week, there's no way we were going to surrender him. He still avoids conflict as best he can (although you can see by his nose that conflict finds him!) so he sleeps in the lilacs if it's warm outside and in the garage otherwise, but if we bring him in and banish Wink the Bully, he's okay with being on our bed too.
