We're not vegetarians but we don't believe in killing animals for no reason! 3 distraught strangers! Grant is desperate to salvage the situation, so he says, OK, we'll eat it! His buddy grabs a skewer and Grant quickly skins that little mouse and in no time it's turning in the fire, crackling and smelling oh so chickeny. The women have fallen silent in horror, but Grant soldiers on and in a few minutes he's shaking salt and pepper on the tiny thing and offers the first bite to the girls. More screaming and Grant's buddy is smirking and shaking his head slowly, so Grant helps himself to the best part. He and his buddy share the whole mouse, and the family decides to call it a night.
In relating this story to his mother, though, Grant had to put up with her screams of Hantavirus! Tularemia! Rabies! but he just says "relax, that stuff all cooks out and besides, Mom, Rodents are tasty!" I was waiting for the clowns to come out of the camper.  x 2
