The oozlum bird, also spelled ouzelum, is a legendary creature found in Australian and British folk tales and legends. A variant of the oozlum, possibly a mutation, is the weejy weejy bird, which has only one wing which causes it to fly in tighter, faster, smaller circles, until it disappears up its own fundament.

but more importantly is this a left wing or right wing idea?

maybe these should be in the questions thread

Confirmation bias is just gobbledy-speak for a closed mind.

Well, mind is not static in itself. It is created anew with every thought and emotion that's being passed through it. In so far, the people, behaviors, and thoughts we surround ourselves with have an imprinting effect on our minds. That is what confirmation bias in the sense of shared beliefs is.

If you change your environment, you can escape that.

An open mindset is a very beautiful thing tho.

A mind is like a parachute ... it only works when it is open.

And self fulling prophecy is real.  Expect the worst and that is what you usually end up with.  You can still expect the best to happen while considering negative issues.  It is a matter of perspective and attitude.

Attitude is a large part of the environment.
As a cancer patient, I cannot emphasize enough how important attitude is.

In addition regarding CT's, to not even consider the plausible is evidence of a closed mind. To dismiss the plausible without even looking based on the messenger is the goal of those whose actions are being questioned.

The woman/entity/bot (?) that original post came from indulges in just about every CT - flat Earth, no outer space/moon landing, Sandy Hook was a hoax, 5G mind-control, etc.  Yet somehow believes that lead/heavy metal poisoning is a good thing. It seems to be feeding a desire some people have to believe "they know more" than everyone else. Skepticism is a good thing, but cynicism is rarely productive.

Cynicism rules the day. Take the Hurricane Helene situation. Spread as much conspiracy bait as possible and folks who are already scared take them hook line and sinker.
Anything to deflect away attention to the real problem of climate change. I mean how gullible are you to believe that Democrats are controlling the weather to target Republican voters? If they could do that they would have levelled Mara-Lago 10 times over by now.
