I am a huge fan of Philly Soul. I read recently that Philly Soul is very popular in the UK right now.

On my very short morning drive, I listen to a oldies station that plays mostly 50s & 60s music. In my 7 minute drive, I usually hear one really great old song. I've been wanting to start a thread featuring the daily stand-out. but I guess this thread will do.
watch toward the end, Carlton stole this dance!
Love this song! Dig the combo of hippie clothes and matching suits!

I thought Peter Cetera, Robert Lamb, and Terry Kath were all in the "Transit Authority" band.
I did too—-maybe I didn't pay close attention to what sirdroseph just said. And while we're on the subject.....unlike BillG and others around here....I never started hating them through their 80s/90s period. I like some of their songs more than others, but I don't care if they got "pop-ish." They played the song "Will You Still Love Me" at my dear friends' wedding, and today that song always (sentimentally) reminds me of the two of them.
It was a good "window" wasn't it? But I do love the first guy's voice——especially in "Color My World." That was the very first song I ever slow-danced to. It was at some wedding when I was about 14, and this "older" (18? 19?) guy I was talking to by the cake table asked me to dance. I can still picture his face. He looked a little like Jason Bateman. It was a really good first dance.

I love this song and I know it is blasphemous to most Chicago fans, but the early Peter Cetera era is my favorite from them. Once the late 70s and 80s hit they just went all glam pop or something, but there was this small window.....

This popped into my head out of nowhere today, as I was biking....so I started singing it!
It was always one of my favorites of theirs.
