Back in the days of really heavy drinking and smoking, I used to wake up to my own voice and hear myself saying "gotta quit, this is killing me". It was a really dreadful feeling of deep anxiety, and it happened often. I`m really glad that part of my life is in the past.

Well mine are usually called "dreams". Most fun is to half wake up from a dream, engage the very lowest setting of consciousness, apply some kind of "corrective action" to your dream, then re-start the dream where you left off!!

I call it The 3AM Enigma. I wake up, usually around three and then I start thinking of all the things that upset me. Why did I do this? Why didn't I do that? What's going to happen as a result? Sometimes I can get back to sleep in a half hour or so, but sometimes I'm up the rest of the night.
