The fact is that, sophomoric or not, it has become something symbolic  to millions of people all over the world that perfectly illustrates a lot of what they see and experience as being wrong in the world today, and Joe Biden is the figurehead symbol of all that that results in.

As for my elite status...MotoGP ranks closer to corn dog than Grey Poupon in Yurp, where it's actually popular. It's sort of the NASCAR of Yurp. In the states it's pretty esoteric, like being a fan of show jumping or AKC agility, but I'd put it between F1 and sailboat racing elitism-wise. On the Budmilob-wine snob scale I'd rate it about brewpub.

I'm not the elitist that K thinks I am regardless of which sports I follow (you follow GP racing, where does that put you on the might be an elitist scale?).  I do think this particular meme is interesting in that it tries to make nice the sentiment of 'fuck Joe Biden', when there hasn't been much pulling of rhetoric anywhere else - and I'm sure it wasn't done for pleasantness.   But hey, I don't have a dog in this hunt. I'm surely against most of the Trump Doctorine, but not really a fan of the Democrat platform or process so far either.  It all just looks like another step in the march to the end to me. So I'll not be rooting for either team to go farther down this road.

I do not agree with many of Biden's policies but I do regard him as an honourable man of integrity.  Somebody who is more than worthy of being the President of the USA.  

It is a little surprising that so many Americans — ~45% — view a complete of lack of integrity as an important qualification for the top job in the nation.  The times are a changin'.
