Putin is happy stuffing the ballot box with either of these two.
Both divisive and incapable of leading a country whose systems are now beginning to fail...the cancer isnt late stage yet, but it's progressing without effective treatment.
Ok...but you still have to pick one. Which does Putin want for the next 4 years?
Looking forward to your thoughts on this. Is Putin worried that Trump is going to come in and clamp down on him... or is it the support he's been getting from the US that has him excited?
Trump or Biden...who does Putin want in the White House next year?

Ultimately, it doesn't matter what you and I think, it is what Putin,
Xi, little rocket man and our "allies" think and I'm thinking that they
are convinced that Biden has lost it. That is what matters.

Ex-F.B.I. Informant Is Charged With Lying about Bidens
The former informant was charged with fabricating claims that President Biden and his son sought two $5 million bribes from a Ukrainian energy company, according to an indictment.
Ahh, the amphibian, space invader cabal got to him.

Yup, and Trump spins that as a positive for himself saying it was because of how "tough" he was on Russia. Nevermind, that that stance was never demonstrated and was the exact opposite of his policy towards Russia. Just add one more lie to the mountain of lies he always peddles and many of the MAGA faithful just blindly accept.
It doesn't matter what Putin says, Trump will find a way to twist it to try and make himself look good.
The Republican Party did continue to prop up Reagan even when he wasn't there.
Here's a still from Reagan's White House during his second term:
Meanwhile, at Mar a Lago...
You're close. They are trying ton convince *you* that he has lost it. They are doing a pretty good job. To what end do you think they might like this to happen?

Who are you trying to make happy? Should we turn Ukraine over to Putin? How about Poland? Do you not want allies?
And if you want to play the "Weekend at Bernie's" card... would you take Biden's team or Trump's? Of course, he'd have to pardon a few to get the band back together...but Jared and Laura are ready to go.
Kurt, your cult is gonna get a lot of people killed.
Oh please ! Your guy is out to lunch. Defend him all you want. You all say the same about Trump but deny Biden's mental fitness let alone his physical fitness to serve and pretend that he is Jack Lalanne reincarnated. You're selling what no one is buying other than yourselves. You all here are the 14% who think that Joe is still A / OK. 86% of Americans see Biden too old to run again for President: Poll
Not sure where that link is supposed to go to, but it didn't look good. According to the poll, which was released Sunday after being conducted Feb. 9 and 10 — the days following a report from special counsel Robert Hur that described Biden as “ well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory” — 86 percent of Americans think Biden, who is 81, is too old to serve another term. That includes 59 percent of those surveyed who said both Biden and former President Donald Trump, who is 77, are too old to hold the office. Twenty-seven percent said only Biden is too old, while 3 percent said only Trump is too old. The poll surveyed 528 adults ages 18 or older and has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 4.5 percentage points.
It was a strange google result. Weren't too many choices to pick from based upon my search parameters.
But the point is a whole bunch of people besides me think that Biden is gone, solid gone.

... but the question before us is are we better off...
If one ignores the means and focuses only on the end...that is the question...just like any other election.
of course, these days it's becoming increasingly difficult to ignore the means towards whatever end you prefer.

I would choose a forgetful Biden over a serial lying, corrupt, dictator wanna-be Trump... any day of the week.
Maybe you can invite Trump over to your place and watch the fun as he forces himself on any females present and proceed to grab at their privates. What a scamp! Oh, and don't forget to extend your invitation to any of your loser veteran buddies as well.

Not true. Prosecutors make these decisions all the time. The first assessment is does the defendant know the difference between right and wrong. Then are they mentally competent to stand trial, hence my wording in my post being scrutinized.
Not knowing right from wrong is the standard for a finding of not guilty by reason of insanity â clearly not at issue here or in Hurâs report. The standard for competency to stand trial is whether one has the present ability to participate in his or her defense and understand the proceedings against him or her. As has been pointed out â and is or should be obvious â this determination was not made by Hur and is not at issue. Moreover, a determination of competency is made by the judge after a competency hearing at which medical evidence is presented by prosecution and defense.
What Hur did was give his opinion as to how Biden would be perceived by a jury if charges of willful retention of classified documents were to be prosecuted. He suggests that a jury might not be inclined to convict because Hur believes Biden would present as a well-intentioned elderly man with a poor memory when the trial were to occur (remember, under DOJ protocols, a sitting President will not be prosecuted until he leaves office. If Biden were to be re-elected, that trial would not occur for at least another 5 years or so). That is somewhat analogous to talking about the possibility of jury nullification. I say this because proof of the willful element would be at the time that Biden took and knowingly retained the classified documents, which would be in 2017 (the Hur report says that Biden told his ghostwriter in 2017 that he had found classified documents downstairs). The lack of memory at the time of trial would not negate proof of willfulness at the earlier, relevant time.
In sum, these statements by Hur regarding Bidenâs memory were extraneous and inappropriate. I wonder if Hur would say that he was unaware of the impact his statements about Bidenâs memory would have on the current election cycle? Presumably, he was fully aware. How could he not be? Then the question becomes why he thought it necessary to include his assessments of Bidenâs memory in the report. DOJ principles are to seek to avoid impacting an election, if possible.
