Well, it doesn't fade out before the sax solo in Soul Love like my 8-track used to. So far, so good. Punchy bass drum, well defined highs, good separation. Helps that the Better Half™ is out for the evening, so I can really turn it up.

I've got a 1st and a 1980's copy that are not in the nicest shape. I can fix em, but it's a lotta work, so on to the easier things. Oh and the shiftiest pressing operation out there is GZ Media out of the Czech Republic. Universal Music Group uses them a lot and they cut corners and bad quality control. Mine is this one. Cool. Do let me know what it sounds like. The reviews on this pressing say it could be dodgy as well.

I hit the jackpot one day at my local used place. Someone must have sold them their collection and I snagged 4 Nektar LP's, including Remember the Future. If you have any old Klaatu keep me in mind!

I haven’t even looked at discogs yet. (Need another paycheck before I consider it) This was Acoustic Sounds. Acoustic Sounds is the first or second place I always go to when something new comes out, and especially if it is one of their own pressings. They are very easy to deal with. So much dirty, noisy crap out there. Have to return about 50 % of what I get. Reason I usually by 2 copies of multi albums or box sets with the hope of getting one good copy from 2. popmarket.com is another place I go to for new vinyl. Currently more is coming in than going out. Have to concentrate and find the good stuff to get ready to go out. Doing this album right now. Have 2 copies actually, a 1st and a repress. Basically still a vinyl only album. Oh and good luck with the Bowie SFM lp. They are hit or miss, between the mastering and pressing noise. There are several different pressing all using different masters. Be nice for someone I know to end up with them for a fair price rather than selling them off on discogs. That and I can send you a preview of what it actually sounds like before hand. But: Ram Diamond Dogs Blackstar Bring the Family are all worthy additions from my local vinyl shoppe. I am buying some things that I previously owned and sold because I want to hear them played through with my latest preamp upgrade. It is that profound. Example Garbage's first album that I just pulled the trigger on this morning. Sold it a couple of years ago and at a loss. I am actually buying Floyd albums, too, even though I said I wouldn't. Preordered the Animals remix due in October. I have Cd's of most of the vinyl albums I own but no longer listen to them even though they have been ripped and are available with a mouse click. That missing 400 gigs of music I mentioned a week a or so ago was in fact half of my ripped Cd's. Only lost one album in the mess so I'm happy about that.
