So does this rebate thingy load up on your browser or is it a separate log into and buy thing ?  Do not want to add any marketing tracking programs to my puter.

Website that you sign up with, then when you buy things online they give you a percent back depending on the store. For instance,
I went to the crutch field store,
stuck that gizmo in my shipping cart.
Then went to topcashback,
typed in Crutchfield’s name,
and then clicked on its link which
took me back to the main Crutchfield screen with my gizmo still in the shopping cart and I complete the purchase as normal (using a credit card that gives me points back!)

It’s transparent and I’m getting back 5.4% on the $200+ transaction. Takes a couple of weeks then they let you know your rebate’s ready. I usually choose a virtual VISA card since that also gives me a few more pennies.

Really pretty simple.  I think I’ve gotten about $140 back on the various things I’ve been buying over the past couple of years. Not much - but also money that I wouldn’t otherwise have.

Thank you.  Sounds pretty straightforward.  I'll give it a looksie.  Do they do anything with Music Direct ? Cuz if they do ...

My memory isn't really that bad. It's really amazing when it comes to where I bought a certain LP. Even though most places I got them are no longer there.
It must be the picture/ price sticker/ smell that triggers my gray matter.

It is not that hard to do.  Plenty of Youtube vids on how to.  Most important is a really fine and proper fit phillips head screw driver for the three screws that hold the bearing mount in place.  Anderol 465 lube or there is plenty of Technics oil on Amazon. Take you about 2 hours to do it and that is taking your time about it.  Then you are done.  A couple of drops every 200 hours or so and that's it.

I ♥ Technics DD turntables.

This is the puppy you want for ripping.  It is the next version after the one I have.  It's been on constantly for around 3 years now and you have heard what it is capable of.

Now my next one if and when this one dies is this one.  If you think that you might catch the bug, this will handle any level of TT and cart combo upgrade you can throw at it and it is still worthy of just being an analogue phono preamp.

What is most important about these is the variable gain feature for the USB out.  This allows you to bring it up for very quiet pressings like the MFSL's from the 80's and also turn down the gain with hot pressings so you do not clip the recording.

You bypass the soundcard on your's or any computer.  You're just recording straight PCM files from the onboard ADC without anything in the way to screw it up.  No ground loops.  Plenty of recording programs from free Audacity and up.

Yeah, I'd say that those are rare and never made it to an official digital release.

actually it is pretty simple.  You'll just need a phono preamp with a USB out which you can plug straight into your computer.  I can certainly help you out with suggestions for that.

I'll get back to you on this in the evening.  In the meantime, here is a link to a group at discogs where ripping is the subject.  I am the administrator.

Funny you should mention, because the speed was all over the place. I figured it was the literal decades of crap adherent to the innards and it did, gradually, improve. But it'll take some nuclear warfare to get in there and clean it out.

13 November 2020 Germany  Orange vinyl  75th Bday anniversary release  Admittedly my first Marley album. Always liked him, just never got any of his albums.  Hoping that this is a tasty live version of many of his memorable songs to explore getting some studio albums.  Seems his entire catalogue is getting a 75th Bday treatment.

I've got a primo copy of that original.
I also have a CD version with demos and out takes. It also has the 45 version of "Somethings in the Air".  Which I always preferred over the album version.
