Or at least that’s how one artist wants to portray Blair, the man who led Britain to the 2003 Iraq war.

The image features in an art exhibition which has launched this week at the Imperial War Museum North in the UK’s Manchester and will run until February 2014.

The museum has a collection of 70 works that forms “Catalyst: Contemporary Art and War.”

All 70 works, which include installations, photography, film, sculpture, oil paintings, prints and book works, present a collection of contemporary art produced since the First Gulf War.

“At its center is the kennardphillipps' take on the decision to invade Iraq ten years ago, with a happy Tony Blair cut in front of a shocking battle scene of smoke and flames in Iraq,” reported Britain’s Daily Mail on Wednesday.

Kennardphillipps is a collaboration working since 2002 to produce art in response to the invasion of Iraq.

Another piece by Turner Prize-winning Brit Steve McQueen features a series of “postage stamp” sheets with photographic portraits of those who died in the Iraq war, with each one also bearing the standard profile of the Queen Elizabeth.

Meanwhile, Gaza-Born Taysir Batniji’s tongue-in-cheek art series features estate agent details for destroyed homes in Gaza; a sarcastic comment on the situation in Palestine.

Sen. Lindsey Graham to seek authorization for U.S. attack on Iran

 

Graham now says he will work with a bipartisan group of senators to craft a resolution authorizing the president to use military force — not against the Syrian regime but against Iran.

According to the historians, by looking at things that have already happened, Americans can learn a lot about which actions made things better versus which actions made things worse, and can then plan their own actions accordingly.

"In the coming weeks and months, people will have to make some really important decisions about some really important issues," Columbia University historian Douglas R. Collins said during a press conference, speaking very slowly and clearly so the nation could follow his words. "And one thing we can do, before making a choice that has permanent consequences for our entire civilization, is check real quick first to see if human beings have ever done anything like it previously, and see if turned out to be a good idea or not."

"It's actually pretty simple: We just have to ask ourselves if people doing the same thing in the past caused something bad to happen," Collins continued. "Did the thing we're thinking of doing make people upset? Did it start a war? If it did, then we might want to think about not doing it."

Nice work here everyone. Emails are the preferred method of feedback since they can be processed quickly. Snail mail is all routed to a facility somewhere outside the central capital area - anthrax attacks and all.
