As far as I remember, he wrote that tune (I'll check: I actually have the single somewhere). He did do a cover tune as his follow-up, which I think may have been a Gilbert O'Sullivan tune, but I don't know if we want to get into
his catalog of hits here.

Most of the songs listed, (with one or two which shall remain
unmentioned ) do have a sort of a special place for me too. "Cheesy" doesn't necessarily always mean "bad".
