There are lots of different dock arrangements. I wouldn't buy one unless I could get some sort of fee simple arrangement. Leasehold is too iffy with so much value being tied to location. They are all different. Most of them in that area / class are just built on barges with no running gear. But there are some new rules being put in place regarding 'navigable vessels' that will impact a lot of people living on the lake. Also different rules depending on if your moorage is condominium, leasehold and if you have tideland rights. It's a lot more complicated than it needs to be... as ususal.
