I didn't think this thread was specifically about "20 Feet From Stardom" to begin with, or black female singers either. There were many back-up singers who were not black women: The Jordanaires, The Ron Hicklin Singers, Cher, Luther Vandross, Bobby Sykes, Thurl Ravenscroft, and the "out-of-this-world" Loulie Jean Norman, among others. None of them were mentioned in this thread until now, but still...
