As Trump Urges Doctors to Lie on Live TV, Federal Official Says He Was Fired for Limiting Hydroxychloroquine Use
Donald Trump tried and failed on Wednesday to coerce two of the government’s top medical experts to endorse his claim that a second wave of Covid-19 infections in the fall is unlikely, hours after a federal whistleblower said he was fired by the administration for limiting the use of an unproven drug treatment touted by the president.

During a televised briefing on the Covid-19 pandemic, the president publicly displayed the political pressure he puts on government scientists by badgering Dr. Deborah Birx, the White House coronavirus response coordinator, to agree with his rosy projection that the virus “might not come back at all.” (...)

Fact check: A list of false claims from Trump's bitter coronavirus briefing

..."The original test — the ones we inherited, Jim, as an example, they were — they were broken. They were obsolete. They were not good tests. And that's what we got stuck with," he said at the April 3 briefing...

...Facts First: The faulty initial test for the coronavirus was created during Trump's administration, in early 2020, by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Since this is a new virus that was first identified this year, the tests couldn't possibly be "old" or "obsolete."

What you need to know about new Trump press secretary Kayleigh McEnany
  • In August 2016, McEnany tried and spectacularly failed to defend Trump’s idiotic claim that Obama founded ISIS.
  • McEnany accused Obama of golfing after journalist Daniel Pearl's murder. Pearl was murdered in Pakistan in 2002.
  • When Trump interrupted a phone call with a foreign leader in 2017 to flirt with a female reporter, McEnany told CNN, “The press should be applauding the fact that he's bringing reporters into the Oval Office, calling them out and including them.”
  • McEnany defended Trump’s empty lawsuit against CNN and The Washington Post, accusing the news organizations of knowingly published false information to hurt Trump.
  • McEnany said in March 2018 it was “exactly right” that welfare recipients should feel enough shame to motivate themselves off of government assistance.
Maybe she "has a natural ability" too.

In November 2008, he owed hundreds of millions of dollars on a loan from Deutsche Bank that financed the construction of the Trump International Hotel & Tower in downtown Chicago. Mr. Trump told Deutsche Bank that he considered the financial crisis to be a contract-voiding “act of God.” He sued the bank, blaming it for the crisis and for engaging in predatory lending by trying to collect on the loan, and sought $3 billion in damages.

Lawyers for Deutsche Bank pointed out in court filings that at the same time that Mr. Trump was claiming that the financial crisis left him unable to keep up with loan payments, he had been boasting to the media about how his business was swimming in cash. The litigation was settled two years later, with Mr. Trump getting extra time to repay what he owed.

Meanwhile he still hasn't hit it.

That must really piss off his supporters, that he keeps promising without delivering:
wall paid for by Mexico,
repeal/replace Obamacare,
tax overhaul that helps the middle class,
and now this.

A series of failures, from a guy who bankrupted at least four casinos. His supporters must be outraged that he's let them down.

Oh, wait.
This just in. They still think he's a genius.

a non socialist? on this site? nah, not possible.

If your hand is OUT put it UP and face the fact that you are lucky to be alive, and that business make our world function.

hold on, this time in history has much to teach. I'm not a "look on the bright side" type, but we need to.
