Weâve been listening to RP on Sonos through Tunein for a while now, including the various streams options. I thought I heard you mention today that the âskip forwardâ option will be available, but I donât see that the button has been activated in my controller. is there a trick to getting it activated?
Thanks so much for everything!

Then find us on the list.
If you have a Sonos One, make sure to click the 'add' link underneath 'music & content'.
I'm confused. I don't see RP on the Sonos list of services

I love that I can add Radio Paradise as a "Music Source" on Sonos now. I can now skip the (very few) songs when I want to. Nice work! I increased my monthly contribution. Thank you.
I would like to add a comment about something I miss now â I feel disconnected from the live stream. I visit the RP website frequently (multiple times a day) based on what I'm hearing in the moment. But because I pause overnight, now my playlist falls behind the live list by several hours, then more hours behind after more pauses, etc. It is harder for me to connect with the information and comments on the song I'm hearing.
When I resume play in the morning, I would not mind if the next song (or within the next few songs, or next hour) if my playlist picked up where the current "live" playlist currently is. Then I would stay better connected with the RP info/community, plus I'd have a skip feature. I don't think a casual listener would notice that the playlist "jumped" ahead to the front of the queue.
That's pretty much exactly how our system has been set up to operate since an update over the weekend. Once you've paused for more than 5 minutes, and if you're not ahead of the 'live' point (due to skipping), then playback will re-sync with what's playing live. It's working as expected for almost everyone, though I think there might be a Sonos-specific glitch.

Bill just mentioned that Radio Paradise is now available as a Music Service in Sonos, but I'm not seeing it. The previous post in this thread mentioned something about a "preview" service. Is it generally available yet?

Hi - I am having all RP streams and all bit rates on Sonos not playing for last two days. getting "the song is not encoded correctly." error message on AAC and MP3.

For the Alexa route, my understanding is Tune In uses the 320kbps streams. But you can't change the bitrate. You can invoke the new mixes like so.
"Alexa play Radio Paradise Mellow Mix on Tune In" "Alexa play Radio Paradise Rock Mix on Tune In" "Alexa play Radio Paradise World Mix on Tune In"
Can leave off "on Tune In" if you don't have the rp skill installed.
You can add custom streams to tune in but that doesn't seem to support flac for now.

OK.....now how do I specify which RP mix is playing on Sonos/Tunein? Also specifying use of FLAC streaming quality.

Sonos and Alexa aren't really that tightly coupled. If you add RP via Alexa it will show up as a skill in the Alexa app.
And there are some issues with the RP skill on Sonos. The best way to use audio commands for now is to use Tune In "Alexa play radio paradise using tune in"
and If you disable the Radio Paradise skill. "Alexa play Radio Paradise" should have it start on tune in.

Sorry about the outage. Our master stream server went wonky while I was asleep. All better now.

Greetings Bill. I trust all is well. My Sonos has decided that RP is not going to work today. I can stream RP directly on my cell phones and computers, but dear old Sonos is a no go. Did the standard resets, reloads, etc. And I talked to the uncle of one of the Sonos engineers about them, who is a friend of mine. The uncle is a true believer now in RP, btw. Now I am trying to get him to pry his wallet open. He said they are an engineering company and not a software company. BAH, I say. And he said that they are an awesome data collection firm. All other music apps are working of course. I persist in nagging. Hope it is a simple reset or just go into no RP withdrawals for a few hours and try again. :-)
RP on Sonos is not working. Have had RP as a Sonos favorite for 2 years. Worked fine until this morning. Tried deleting the station and re-adding it. This appears to be an RP streaming issue, as all other stations play fine through same Sonos system.
Working fine now. Thanks for all you do.
Sorry about that. Server glitch while I was away for a few hours.
I am running Windows 10 and also have a galaxy S7. RP played just fine on Sonos until this morning.Uninstalled and re-installed RP app and Sonos app on both phone and laptop. Reconfigured all the speakers. Turns out all my other stations play fine, just not RP.Tried deleting the station and adding it again by typing in the streaming url....no luck. It looks like it's playing but no song info comes up and no sound.
Damn. Sorry. Took the wrong day off, it looks like.
