Like the band...can't stand that windbag Rush Limbaugh.

Been a Rush fan pretty much since the beginning.  They used to hit San Antonio several times a year and my brother & his girlfriend used to hang with them after the shows.  By the time I was old enough to do the same, they were way too big to hang out at Joe Anthony's Mr. Pizza after the shows (Joe was a radio legend in SA, who also happened to own a pizza joint).  I do, however, have 1) an autographed copy of Hemispheres that my brother had them sign for me ("Hi Mary!" -  so it's personalized, which is cool) and a beat-to-crap drumstick from The Professor.  Like many here, I haven't been as much of a fan of the music of late, but I still admire them greatly.  And they were funny as hell on The Colbert Report not too terribly long ago:

I'm no longer a "fan" per se, but I am not ashamed for the years I spent as one.  I saw them about 4 times live, and will agree that its always an impressive show.  I'm not sure what it is that has made me less enthralled by them in later years, but I think it may just be that I've been subsequently exposed to alot more music, giving me more options at any given moment (back in the day I was on a pretty basic "All Progressive Rock" diet).

Anyway, props to all three of them... they deserver a better reputation than they've got imho.
