The New York governorâs remarks came as Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez joined lawmakers backing an investigation into the stateâs handling of nursing homes in the pandemic.
I judge politicians by how well they police their own, not by how well they make excuses.
1. Badger Man. Lazy sleazeball cousin to The X-Men's Wolverine.
2. Creepy Joe Bongwater, occasional character on TV's "The Dukes of Hazzard." Creepy Joe is an unsuccessful salesman of Amway products and time-share condos in Cancun. Persistent thief of Daisy Duke's undergarments.
I have little to no faith whatsoever that Texas will not reelect Ted Cruz. He's showed his ass for years and they still elect him. The GOP and Republicans have shown us without a doubt that what they value is power at all cost and that accountability and responsibility are simply words that have no meaning to them.

The best part is, he excoriated Austin's mayor - rightly so - for doing the same thing. Really? Are you really so self-absorbed you can't see the optics behind your trip?
The situation in Texas is deadly. People are dying - wrecks, carbon monoxide, slip-and-fall, etc. And Cruz takes his family to Cancun? Really? What a piece of work. I get it, there's not really anything he can DO, but still.
I don't see how Cruz gets re-elected after this stunt. I don't actually know how he got elected in the first place, but hey.
The fine folks cabal over at ERCOT needs a comeuppance too. They were warned ten years ago, and did nothing. Well, they did shield Texas energy producers from regulation, and rake in profits. c.
Texas is turning blue already. You can't recruit Californians (including Apple and Tesla) and not expect them to vote as if they live in CA.
The best thing about the ERCOT folks, the Board chair, vice-chair, and a total of 1/3rd of the leadership don't even live in Texas.
