Great song that needs to be spun again!

Agree with below, the man and his band is most excellent live! Great music played by consummate musicians and wonderful stories from Mr. Paul.

Nope.  Thought the OP was ending a sentence with their "rating" as so many seem to do here.  I happily stand corrected.

Ain't this song shitty?

Yes, yes it is.
Cool funky vibe
I've seen Paul Thorn many times at the Rams Head in Annapolis.  Great, engaging entertainer and songwriter!  ...at least nine albums to his credit.  Best enjoyed live.

Actually, it's Mississippi.

It came from Tupelo... as did Elvis Presley (rock and roll), Guy Hovis (big band), Rae Sremmerd (rap), and Diplo (electronica).  So maybe don't generalize?

That's the one! Was racking my brain to figure it out.

Paul Thorn is one of the greatest unknown songwriters in the world and a fantastic concert to see too.  He tours constantly and everywhere, at least in the USA.  Go see him!
Mama looked at me and said Strange ! It was love at first sight.
A interesting artist as well

This song feels much more intimate to me than any of the ZZT songs I know. As much as I love ZZ Top, they are much more highly produced and all the rough edges are polished off for the mass pop audience. This song slips in through the shields.

Swamp pop classic ("Right Place Wrong Time") to neo swamp pop classic.  Brilliant!

Good call Frosty!  quite a wait for the re-play, right?
really nice to hear Paul Thorn on RP

Sure but the voice is very much like Billy's.

a nice mix of funky, bluesy rock ... {#Music}
Love Paul Thorn! A great addition to the RP family. I first heard him on The Eagle, an experimental broadcast and internet radio station out of Nashville years ago.
Interesting. Sounds like a long lost Al Green song.  Gimme a minute to figure out which one...

ETA: The groove is certainly reminiscent of "Love and Happiness".

I was thinking exactly the same thing. The drum sound in particular sounds like it was lifted straight from Eliminator.
Very nice! Never heard of this guy before.
