"This isn't on Radio Paradise is it?" says my wife. Just ensuring that the word eclectic is doing its job....
CHOON!
Surely the new official song of the Biden campaign. Too soon?

Really? Is this a joke?

Although the message is not particularly PC, just great fun. Excellent pop.
I'll join the chorus singing of Chumbawamba's long and eclectic career. I bet the band (now sadly disbanded) thinks it's funny people remember them as a one-hit-wonder! Their first two releases "Pictures of starving children sell records" and "Never mind the ballots" are available as one punchy, witty double album, I can recommend it. And "The Boybands Have Won" is so sublimely beautiful.
i hated this song for a long time because it got overplayed everywhere for years, but today due to an absolute disaster at work I'm really feeling it today. Be nice to your payroll people, we fix problems you don't even realize you have.

Completely forgettable novelty song, man I want to go wash my ears out now... in several months of listening to Radio Paradise this is the first track I can honestly say I feel nothing for... total audio wallpaper... Still, that makes for 2000 great songs and one dud... not a bad average so more kudos to Bill, in spite of this minor tubthumping... :p Cheers Jacques Radio Paradise: What Radio Could Have Been
complete miser. ssssshhhhhhhhhhhhh
Brilliant ensemble - though this song was about their worst - that really meant something in the 90s. Check out their much later folk-centric LPs… The Boy Bands Have Won and ABCDEFG.
I GET KNOCKED DOWN BUT I GET UP AGAIN THEY NEVER GON' KEEP ME DOWN 🔥 🔥 🔥
Ha! What a blast from the past! I need this right now. Ugh.
When the girls sing:
"Don't cry for me,
Next door neighbor"
(about halfway thru the song)
lol
Many years ago when life was dealing me a series of tough blows this song was hot - and it really kept me going. It was the right song at the right time, really pumped me up to keep sloggin' along.

This song came out well before 2000. I know because I went through dark times and this was played a lot on my nights out. No fun.....

To anyone who thinks that this is all that Chumbawumba were about, I recommend that you get hold of a copy of 'English Rebel Songs 1381 - 1984'. An exceedingly fine and much-overlooked collection of traditional folk songs, including a version of the WW1 marching song 'Hanging on the Old Barbed Wire' which all school children should be made to listen to.
Someone posted “Bird Flu” about this song 14 years ago!!!! 😂😂😂
FUN!
There is nothing more 90's than this song.
For as ubiquitous as this song once was, it only ever makes me think of this:

Writing this during the COVID-19 lockdown. Perfect song for these days! Thanks RP!
Stupid song but my it is fun

fun to hear once in a while... hopefully again in 2023
Wow, I haven't heard this in forever! I can't believe it was as recent as Y2K. At this point I thought it was early 90's - ish.
I suppose it's apropos considering the state of things right now....

Music therapy is a real thing. **Sings along loudly**
We were posted with our young kids in Brisbane, Australia, when this song and video came out in 1998. The Aussies loved it and we did too. Good memories!

I've always loved this song!!....Why?...Who knows?....I just love it!!
Strange that the only thing this reminds me of is Miss Simpson going to college.
Even stranger, is that this is the only Chumbawamba song on RP.
BIRD FLU!!!!!
you need a few \"lager drinks\" to appreciate
