BOOM
I saw the album cover and immediately thought of Spirograph.
Future Trance style!

I ALWAYS wanted a slinky.  My brother had one I wasn't allowed to touch.  I finally bought myself one a couple of years ago - It still walks down my stairs occasionally and makes me smile. Growing up is hugely overrated

Can we have an hour long version of this, please?
This song’s perfection of eliciting precisely what it says is unworldly. In the darkest of my days this song sings every fabulous sunrise in the 4 billion years of this planet. Lisa Gerard takes the boys’ direction farther higher faster than they could’ve imagined. I hope Orbital and Lisa look back on the creation of this song and our reactions to it with even 1% of the joy. Thank you RP for introducing me to this song. William, great work.

I got that far without leavingy garage...
Shades of Brian Eno? Great piece.
Pretty much a riff on “A twist in my sobriety “ Tanita Tikaram

1st and only comment and zero song ratings for missStability.
Certainly adds reference to the comment.

I don't hear Kraftwerk's "Autobahn" in this very much, though I'm sure these guys were very influenced by Kraftwerk - a lot of artists were.

almost sounds like she sang 'repaid' up front - great after the ending of  'The Wanting Comes in Waves'
Nowhere near my favourites of their work, but gets an 8 for just being Orbital

This song sounds like it should be from Icelandic or at least Scandinavian and not Kent in England!?!

It would be so nice to hear Klaus Schulze & Lisa Gerhards live concert here.
Fantastic. But No one even mentions Autobahn?

RP introduced me to this soaring song, as well as “Seven Minutes of Sun” by Lumo. Both started a playlist full of similar RP stuff that simply makes time stop. Thanks Orbital and RP.
ummm, where's the song?
Reminds me of music of Synergy by Larry Fast, specifically ‘Phobos and Diemos go to Mars’
Reminds me a bit of "Song to the Sirens", by This Mortal Coil.

You have good ears. Lisa Gerrard is the same vocalist, although Hans Zimmer is the main Gladiator score composer.
Bump 8 > 9.  Because it's audio paradise.

this is nearly cheesy and formulaic but something always stirs inside me all the same..... great tune for the open road!
Sounds so much a track off of Passion, the Peter Gabriel Last Temptation of Christ soundtrack.  Still good!
When I hear this song, I instantly transport to the best summer of my life in Greece. Just like the nostalgic smell of mown grass, having these particular vibrations hit my ear drums accomplishes the same thing.
My first listen to this music. I like Lisa Gerrard, but this is not her usual context.
I don't usually do reviews but just got a pair of Bose wireless headphones and this could probably be an 11
More Orbital please!

My generation's Woodstock

holy god shut up already.
I swear almost anything accompanied by Lisa Gerrard vocals is magical.
Tonight, Matthew, I'll mostly be 'avin a raaaaavvvvvvvve!
Moved this up to a 9 today... it just takes me there you know?
Thank you for introducing me to this song. And today it played just as the sky was going from black to purple to deep blue. Absolutely perfect.

But you'll find yourself in a really good mood...

This gets a 10.

Lisa Gerard's haunting rendition here reaches into the depths of my psyche, and conjures the beauty and joy of life, and the hope of eternity..... moves me every time I hear it.
Not their best effort.
another seriously clubbing chugger from England, I like it, quite mellow. Good for a rooftop lounge

Robots almost rock.

If you removed everything but the girl it would sound as good, if not better
Superb. Takes your breath away!
A 9 from me, wonderful music conjuring up memories of good times past!
Good evening. Programming a website and had to stop what I was doing to remember past good times. So love listening to Orbital! And R.P.
Atmospheric.
Another nice song I've never heard about before Radio Paradise.    I like RP. :)

No accounting for taste.....or lack thereof.

Solid NINE!! Orbital and Lisa Gerrard together are tops! Think "Gladiator" sound track; 'Now We Are Free'....The best.....

One for my soporific playlist
Great soundtrack music. Great driving music. An 8 for those. For entertainment or party music, a 6.
I've just checked the Orbital Audio page 2, and this song does feature Lisa Gerrard. Hers is a voice not easily mistaken...

ok, but still a ripped version

Thanks for the music mix today - perfect for the first snowy day of winter here in SE B.C.

The intro to this is sooo beautiful. Is that Lisa Gerrard on vocals? I honestly thought that this was a Dead Can Dance number I'd not heard before. I'm not so keen when it goes up-tempo but it's still enough to make me wish that I was listening to it on a good stereo in a dimly-lit room with jossticks burning and a bottle of wine on the table. 8 from the entranced Nottingham jury.

I know that the cover is a 'strange attractor', but it also reminds me of my childhood and the Spirograph craze...
Not very special but it works. 7 for me.

Bubblegum electronica?

That's a perfect description of how I feel about this one, I knew that once I start reading the comments in this page I'll find the right description for my vague feeling of uncomfortability :)

Will this pretentious droning never end?

This is a nice bit of bubblegum electronica, but if you want something truly great dig back into their catalog and listen to Are We Here? or Nothing Left Parts 1 & 2 (both featuring the lovely vocals of Ms. Alison Goldfrapp).  Also strongly recommended - everything from the album Insides.  For their older stuff Lush, Halcyon, and Impact (and the billion remixes of each) are some of the best tunes early techno and acid house has to offer.

Bubblegum electronica?  My serotonin levels must have been down when I wrote that!  This tune is a little dull, but it's still gorgeous! {#Good-vibes}

Obviously very much inspired on the albums by "Krafwerk"...
Noise.  Awful, awful noise.

Everybody in my churches loves this trance music that features Lisa Gerrard from Dead Can Dance...

It's Lisa Gerrard doing the vocals and she did do the Gladiator soundtrack 4 years prior to collaborating with Orbital in 2004

Thought the same thing instantly.  Voice sounds right...

This sounds like something best absorbed with some fine herb and even better headphones.
Lush soundscape, just gorgeous! The end part makes my trailer park sound like a new age Epcot center!

Nah, this is straight out of Vangelis' score for Blade Runner, especially the slower bits with the drum machine dialled down a bit.

Err, Blade Runner perhaps?

Or is it just me?

Choon - Love Orbital
Evocative and upbeat. Great chill, dance and driving music.  But I couldn't distinguish them from a hybrid of Tangerine Dream, Afro Celt, movie music, and such. If music like this is going to be heard on RP, bring in the big guns like Jean-Michel Jarre—Oxygene, Chronologie, Magnetic Fields, Zoolookologie, Equinoxe, Rendezvous, and others more recent.  He helped to invent electronica/techno/trance, and long after he began 30+ years ago, his CDs still tower above a lot of the genre.
 What, huh, trance?

These guys were certainly influenced by Kraftwerk, but I don't hear any direct samples.  Some of the synth settings have similar sounds to "Autobahn" and some other recordings though.

Good stuff. Trance makes me relax. Maybe the opposite of most. Don't know
this makes my head hurt
