Hear ya! People, People IS a killer song!  And what about Marching Powder, and Homeward Strut? 'Teaser' is a kick-ass rock album!

I just love this album. "People, People" is the standout track to me. It would really fit in here at RP (IMHO).

I had no idea Bolin played music like this at all. Time to do some digging and check it out...

Don't forget his work with the James Gang - "Bang" and "Miami" or his work on Billy Cobham's "Spectrum."

6 Ho-Hums on the trot. Any more and I'll be falling asleep at my desk {#Sleep}
On of my all time favorites. Another one gone too damn soon.

Tommy Bolin was awesome.  The imagery of the lyrics in this tune is seductive.  I'm gonna hav e have "Tight Gin And Tonic" tonite.  What does that mean "Tight"?

Wow! — Once again — It's been awhile — Poor (long gone) Tommy
This reminds me of Steely Dan's style. Pretty good actually....

The creativity music lost when this man died is, in my mind, similar to the loss we suffered when SRV died. You may debate that, but it is just my humble opinion.
First concert I ever saw was Tommy Bolin at the town auditorium in Sioux City.
Great add! If you can find a good copy of "The Grind" I would suggest a listen.

So cool that you got to see him in his hometown! He was a true original.

More Tommy Bolin, please.

I can't believe I'm agreeing with someone from Cleveland.    {#Confused}  {#Laughing}
You are correct about "Come Taste The Band."

Me too conglif.
I'll have to go to the attic and pull the vinyl out and put it on the Technics
.
Wow!

Thanks, Bill; I had almost forgotten about this.

Cool.
Thanks Bill! A nice birthday present.

Tasty!

Wow, what a gem. Tommy Bolin's two disks have been a guilty pleasure of mine for years. It's really great to hear one of his finest here...How about Sweet Burgundy next time?

Yeah, "Teaser" is a good album, but Tommy really shone through on "Private Eyes". That guitar riff on "Bustin' Out for Rosie" is too much!

I've got "Bustin' Out for Rosie" and "Shake the Devil" uploaded to the LRC. Look for them and "dimple a Chad" (Florida voting reference) for them. I'm thinking of throwing "Post Toastee"'s hat into the LRC ring, too (just as soon as one of my four uploads eats it or gets added).

Folks would be well served to check out Deep Purple's Come Taste the Band on which Tommy performed. Great stuff....
I was going to upload some Tommy Bolin on the LRC but noticed that most has been rejected. Don't know why after reading all the love given out here. Maybe I will try again. One of the most original and talented Guitarist of the 70's. First heard him on Bill Cobham's Spectrum LP. His sound complimented Billy's distinctive drumming. What could have been!

Quite a guitarist, lots of personality, and soul, sad that he died in his prime, one more talented individual lost to heroin addiction.
More Tommy Bolin, please.
GREAT to hear this on RP...my old cassette this was on got real squeaky long ago... Would also love to hear Marching Powder, Homeward Strut, other gems from the Teaser record! GO BILL! RP RULES!

Tommy's work with Billy Cobham was incredible. He was bound to no genre. Thanks for playing this.
Thank you for sure...he's a God... sharkartist wrote:

Damn, this song makes me feel good!
Tommy Bolin was my life! He was the most talented person! Such a shame he had to OD, he was amazing. But, he knew it... Now I just remember him as one of the most talented guitar players I've ever seen.
Love this Guy and this song but if you gotta Rock play Bustin out for Rosie. OOH Ya !!!

Some underlying current in this reminds me of \"Love & Happiness\". Not a bad thing.
Sexy music. Love Tommy Bolin. I\'ll have to buy this now. Thanks alot Bill!
Love it!
What a refreshing inclusion in your playlist! This is a classic song by a great, great artist who left the world too soon.
Freakin' awesome, however this got on the playlist...Thanks, Bill!
A man always destined to step into someone elses shoes;Joe Walsh in the James Gang, Ritchie Blackmore in Deep Purple. Shake The Devil was my favourite off of Private Eyes (I think!),but Teaser was a great album too. Very underrated.

Thanks for uploading. Cool, I think
Tommy Bolin is one of my favorite guitarists/songwriters. It's wonderful to hear his songs here. I'm continually amazed at the selection and variety of music on RP. Hearing Savanna Woman just emphasizes how great this station is! Thanks Bill!

Yes. Tommy. Cool.
Guitar Player magazine is featuring Tommy on the cover of their February 2007 issue. His name leads a list of 101 forgotten greats and unsung heroes. Thanks so much to Guitar Player for giving Tommy exposure to the prestigious magazine's readers.

Oh yeah, I've had Tommy Bolin in my head as a perfect RP addition for months now! Unfortunately, all mine's on vinyl... Thanks for adding this. NOW, how about Post Toastee??
cold and distant as the moon, why can't she burn like fire?
Lively addition thanx Bill!
