Nice!
it's been two years since anyone's had something to say about this song.
i have something to say. it's pretty good.
was my comment worth the wait ?
i think so.
Interesting tune, think I really like it!
The "Native American sound" to which people have referred in their comments makes me think of the clicking/rattling sound made by the pieces of sheep's hooves that are worn by Hopi Kachinas during dances.  But that's just what the sound calls to mind for me.
SUCH a great song from a phenomenal album!  Thanks for playing it, RP!
I like all of Sam Phillips' stuff, but I think she's at her best when she's at her most cathartic.  This album is my second favorite behind Omnipop.  But I guess I'm in the minority here.
Fuzzy, chunky and distinctive. Quite a change from the usual Sam Phillips songs played here. 7 from the intrigued Nottingham jury.

How exactly is that a Native American vibe?

Sounds to me like she's smashing grapes with her feet in that bathtub as she's singing.  Ugh.

Mmmmm, native american wine!

Yes, but this time it is not doing anything for me.

Thanks for the update.  Keep us posted.

Still loathing this song.....
Here is the correct Wiki link.:

Always like hearing the haunting voice of Sam Phillips...

I like that sort of Native American vibe she's created in the background.
Ugggghhhhh! {#Stop}
She's not your everyday noise I hear on the radio all day. I love her sound. It doesnt hurt that she looks like Ally McBeal. {#Lol}

I hope she keeps it up.
not fond of this song but the rest of this album is wonderful
This entire album is abysmal.
I find it quite humorous that just about everyone knocking this music (Though I don't find it to be all that outstanding.) is just really into more standard music and tend to have really unrealistic ratings.
So far from what I have heard Sam Phillips has really missed the boat with this album. Don't even like the tired sounds of both songs I have heard so far. I agree, maybe a better producer?

None of the songs from this album have an average rating higher than 6.  Around here, I think that's a pretty good indicator that the album sucks as a whole.
Well, if she's trying to shed her reputation for writing light pop songs, I think she may have succeeded.

And I agree, T Bone is missed on this track.

mmm, shower scene from MASH

I think the arrangements on this track are very poor. They really distract from, rather than complement the singing. Only gets a 2 from me - she could be doing a lot better with the same material but a better producer/arranger.
she looks like sally kellerman
Nice. I think this is the first CD she's made in a while without T Bone Burnett (ex husband) producing. Sounds good...
