The song title is bang on - it surely is a boring song, as are all the other BtS that I've heard on RP, sadly. An auto-rate of Ho-Hum from the sleepy Nottingham jury  {#Sleep}

I bought their Album "You in Reverse" because of the song "Wherever You Go" and didn't care for it. Very repetitious. I don't see this song as any different.

If you like this, you should really listen to some of their earlier stuff; they also do a great cover of Neil Youngs Cortez the Killer. However, from what I have heard of this new album; me no likey.{#No}

I thought it might be limited to their slower stuff, but these guys definitely have a Neil Young sound going. Here it is mostly in the voice of the singer. In any case, I like it.

I agree, it is creepy, but I also find it cool. It looks like a painting but I can't find any information about it. Is it something one of the band did or is it by another artist?

As for the song, I find the title ironic, because the music (especially the guitar work) is anything but boring. {#Guitarist}

Built to Spill are an alternative-rock band from Boise, based around the songwriting and guitar-playing of Doug Martsch. Despite the seemingly non-commercial nature of their music ("on all our records," Martsch once told Pitchfork, "there's nothing that seems like a single to me"), Built to Spill have remained signed to Warner Bros. since 1995. During that time, they've been hugely influential; Pacific Northwest bands Death Cab for Cutie, Modest Mouse, and Band of Horses all citing the importance of Built to Spill's influence.

"I guess I find it flattering that anyone cares about what I'm doing and that bands would point to us and say they were inspired by us," Martsch has said. "I take it all with a grain of salt because if we weren't around it would have been someone else. It has to do with timing and the region. Modest Mouse is one of the best bands ever I think and they just happened to be at the right age we were around and they happened to hear our record."
