Hayduke2, you've already read my DNC/Screaming Trees story, so you know I'm a big DNC fan also of Kevn Kinney (not a typo), the main man behind DNC, his solo work is outstanding. Look that up too. It should be all over RP. Bill?

Nice you guys.  I've suggested to RP to play several Drivin n Cryin songs but none have made it through the filter.  I think DnC would fit in great on RP though.

Other way around actually. These guys are (were) better. A little rough around the edges in some songs but they do have something charming that makes them better in my humble opinion.

I registered just to say how much I hate this song. It's the 'tweeest' song I regularly hear, and something about this LA born & raised dude singing this fake folksy nonsense just makes my ears bleed. (I should see a doctor.)

This song is now being used by The NFL in it's ads to promote the wonderful world of smash-mouth pro football. 

I think all that whistling was the sound of Jay Cutler's brain rattling around last Sunday night after the Giants kept throwing him down to the turf like a rag doll...

Is this supposed to be a parody of hicksville? I've not heard so many stereotypes in one work since the last Englishman, Irishman and Scotsman joke I was told. It's like an episode of the Beverley Hillbillies. I'm not sure if it's celebrating or ripping the piss out of life in the sticks.

My son gave this CD to me for Father's Day.  Nice present.  Also, my niece saw them at Sasquatch festival at the Gorge and loved them.  Nice to hear them on RP.

i didn't love this at first; it seemed like a country parody and I have a lot of respect for that stuff.
But i'm a strong advocate for freakiness of expression.
the girl has a good voice, reminds of the punk rock girl Mia Zapata.
This evokes for me, Lee Hazlewood Nancy Sinatra and how they often seemed a bit off in their psycho-delic country songs.
