I've been drifting on the sea of heartbreak
Tryin' to get myself ashore
For so long, for so long
Listenin' to the strangest stories
Wondering where it all went wrong
For so long, for so long
But hold on hold on hold on
To what you've got
So hold on hold on hold on
To what you've got
I've been dreaming of a new tomorrow
And wakin' in the morning sun
For so long, for so long
There's no time for revolution
I've got to be travellin' on
Here so long, for so long
But hold on hold on hold on
To what you've got
So hold on hold on hold on
To what you've got
Hold on to what you've got
(Instrumental)
Hold on hold on hold on to what you got
Hold on hold on hold on to what you got
Hold on to what you've got, to what you've got
Hold on hold on hold on to what you got
Hold on to what you've got, to what you've got
Tryin' to get myself ashore
For so long, for so long
Listenin' to the strangest stories
Wondering where it all went wrong
For so long, for so long
But hold on hold on hold on
To what you've got
So hold on hold on hold on
To what you've got
I've been dreaming of a new tomorrow
And wakin' in the morning sun
For so long, for so long
There's no time for revolution

So hold on hold on hold on

Hold on hold on hold on to what you got
Hold on hold on hold on to what you got
Hold on to what you've got, to what you've got
Hold on hold on hold on to what you got
Hold on to what you've got, to what you've got

Like the prominence of the bass in this one. Particularly when it first kicks in.
Wow. And I thought this was Wings.
Wow, I haven't heard this in forever!
Here today, Gomm tomorrow.

RP wins again for playing the most variety. Haven't heard this for years but I remembered it instantly.

This was an oasis of refreshment in the desert of disco when i first heard it on the radio back in the day. It's also a dandy little tune in its own right, and sounds as fresh today as it did back then.

Clearly, Ian would like us to hold on.
I'm fully prepared to hear this song again - after another 39 years. Unless someone can reveal to me
anything good about it... Anyone?

Wow throwback ,,not bad
I don't want to go back into the womb but sure wouldn't mind retreating into the '70's. Life was simpler.. and a more optimistic.
Boy, this brings me back to my childhood. Don't think I've heard it since the late 70s, actually... Thanks RP!
WowWow, used to love this!! Nice archive play Bill!!

Always liked this in the late 70s — early 80s.
