I've always found Diana Krall's playing to be more compelling than her vocal work. Especially here with such a slow song with quiet parts where she doesn't quite have the control to pull it off. Her ability on the piano almost covers for it, but not quite.

One of my favorite Joni songs, and one of my favorite jazz performers, but this combo is not working for me. The passion of the original is missing...as are Joni's pure, high notes from her youth. Always nice to hear something different though!

Lovely piano, but truly horrible singing.
In the arts there are those with real talent and originality and then there are the pretenders, this artist is a pretender, embarrassingly so in my humble opinion.
Absolutely lovely.
Start of this made me think of Bon Iver's version of "I Can't Make You Love Me", so I had to go listen to that.
Does not work for me. Too spoiled by the simplicity and vulnerability in the original.
Diana sounded damn good here. 9 from me.
