I watch your light
In the dark of night
Your shadow moves
Across a lonely room
Woo, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
I hear your name
Through the wind and rain
Woo, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Why can't you see
The fire inside of me?
I fantasize
That I'm your lover's eyes
And in my mind
Your body is next to mine
Woo, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
I hear your name
Through the wind and rain
Woo, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Why can't you see
The fire inside of me?
This fire, I feel
Oh, this fire is real
You're so close to me
But always out of reach
Woo, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
I hear your name
Through the wind and rain
Woo, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Why can't you see
The fire inside of me?
Woo, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
I hear your name
Through the wind and rain
Woo, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Why can't you see
The fire inside of me?
The fire inside of me
The fire inside of me
The fire inside of me
In the dark of night
Your shadow moves
Across a lonely room
Woo, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh

It took a little while but this song has worn me down and I rated it an 8
This song is great... and I normally can't stand songs by people wearing cowboy hats.
I likeing this a little more every time I hear it!
I'm not usually a fan of Country artists but I really really love this song. Thanks RP!

I say this all the time!! It’s like a regular radio station in that way. Playing some songs repetitively so I tire of them
First time I heard this song. Guess that means I'm not listening to RP enough 😆

Nice song, but you are playing it too much. Lets get back to the old RP frequency of playing songs.

I heard this song from across the room and immediately wondered who the singer was. Such a unique and powerful, soulful voice. I was surprised to see it was Chris Stapleton. I don't listen to country, but I really like this song and wouldn't mind hearing more from this guy. Thanks for expanding my horizons, Radio Paradise!
I've been loving the intro song on Monday Night Football this season. It took me a couple of listens before I realized it was a spinoff from Phil Collins' "In the Air Tonight". When I saw a very similar bearded cowboy on this the site for this song, I had to google to see if it was the same artist. . . . and thus my introduction to Chris Stapleton.
I'm impressed!! In my humble opinion this is a very talented musician, and one that I'm going to explore to see / hear what else he's done. Thanks AGAIN RP for connecting the dots and widening my musical horizon. (Although I can foresee a date when I'll need a new computer, just to store all the "new" to me music I keep downloading.)

Chris Stapleton is the real deal. Writing, production, and performance are all spot-on; and he did all of this himself. Worked his way through the Nashville mill without getting ground up by it or deeply embittered as some pop stars became before they left.
I love this guy.

Yep. He, Jason Isbell, and Zach Bryan are worth every second of attention.

Good stuff… I don't usually put on country as a genre, but this is solid. Thanks for putting this on my radar.

Chris Stapleton has singlehandedly renewed my interest in Country music....for context, the last country singer I enjoyed listening to was Kenny Rogers.

Nice but I've heard it a lot

I just did the exact same thing!! Love this guy...Nice to hear him on RP!
First comment. Quite an honor. Seems to be a fine song by a fine artist. Didn't listen to it closely. Was half done and I got this sensation that it sounded like Chris Stapleton, check and sure enough it was. I bit more mellow than most of his stuff. He has range.
