I was literally just listening to this excellent album before I tuned in to RP. Love it!
William, I love that you've just described Tim Buckley as a 'broken man' at the end of Sweet Surrender, only to follow with a track from an Album called Son of a Broken man. 
The "Full on grind way .." bit and the outro (maybe also the intro - I missed it) reminds me of the Pixies' Cactus. Maybe it is the phrasing and the bass line.
Second time I've heard this here, and --wow, it packs a powerful punch! I dig those menacing shades of darker blues, like those in Savoy Brown's "Hellbound Train"...
