We haven't much time
We haven't much time
I immediately play the records and since then I have played them so often I almost know them by heart (We haven't much time)
We haven't much time
Where's their sense of what's right? Their respect for what's happened here? (We haven't much time)
How far can we go [?]
We haven't much timе, listen to me

[Verse 1: Chuck D, Flavor Flav, Chuck D & Flavor Flav]
The song is sick whеre the people are sick
Man this air is thick, the world feel sick
Economy's flipped
Stocks done took a dip
C.E.O. Chaos, now everybody sick
A.I. running human beings, kicked-
-Outta' their jobs now you really sick
Politicians talking with their lying trick
Promises, promises but none that stick
Dreams dissolving like a candle wick
No problem solving, the people are tricked
In a world going down, with leaders sick
Lost to the shot-clock, that tick tick tick
No dancing on the edge now isn't that sick?
Voices lost in the noises
Ya'll tryin to pick
Truth in the shadows, now ain't that sick
2026, world going sick

[Chorus: Chuck D & Flavor Flav]
Society spinning got cold like a brick
The walls going up yet crumbling quick
The voices are silent, nothing to click
2026, it's all looking sick
Society spinning

[Verse 2: Chuck D, Flavor Flav, Chuck D & Flavor Flav]
The song is sick, the society sick
When a nation be sick, country gets sick
Temperature rising, the climate thick
Weather pattern changing, got y'all sick
Nature's furious, can't duck their shit
Mama Earth's response: "Got y'all sick!"
Eyes on screens, the vision is sick
Lost in the media your mind's done slipped
Communication's dead, emojis picked
Feelings numbed down, emotionally sick
Truth buried deep, now ain't that sick
You in love with a bot! and mad at it
Hours of chaos, that love is a trick
They scared of aging, no magic fix
Technology chains y'all thought y'all picked
The future is locked ain't that a bitch (bitch, bitch)

[Interlude: Flavor Flav]
Sick! Sick! Sick! Sick! Sick! Sick! Sick! Sick!

[Chorus: Chuck D & Flavor Flav]
Society spinning got cold like a brick
The walls going up yet crumbling quick
The voices are silent, nothing to click
2026, it's all looking sick
Society spinning got cold like a brick
The walls going up yet crumbling quick
Voices silent

[Verse 3: Chuck D, Flavor Flav, Chuck D & Flavor Flav]
This track is sick, heart attack sick
Broke like a stroke, blood pressure sick
No joke Clock running out no flavor switch
They all scared of aging, no magic fix
Eyes are glazed, hypnotic flick
Voices screaming, they just a click
Disconnected heads, connections sick
Identified lost, society sick
Oceans rise, see that oil slick?
Clock running out with no flavor switch

[Chorus: Chuck D, Flavor Flav, Chuck D & Flavor Flav]
Society spinning got cold like a brick
The walls going up yet crumbling quick
Voices silent, nothing to click
2026, it's all looking sick
Society spinning got cold like a brick
Walls going up yet crumbling quick
The Voices silent

Edit: I'm not a fan of Rap in general, but somehow, the point of RP is
to try and do better than knee-jerk reactions? At least, that's how I
feel it. It's nice to be challenged and question your tastes or
expectations. When I was 14, we didn't listen to music that much in my
family and when we finally bought a decent Hi-fi system, one of the
first CDs I bought was the double Remasters Led Zeppelin album. Some
songs I didn't very much like on the first listen, and they quickly became favourites. So I guess sometimes it's worth putting a little bit of effort into it : )

Same here. I listen to RP to avoid rap.
It is actually great to know that these guys are still alive and kicking. And wearing the same clock.
This makes me feel 16 again for the full 3 minutes!

I read that Flavor Flav is planning on having a clock incorporated in his tombstone with the epitaph "It's about time".

What can I say. Not the best of rap music. Not even the best of Public Enemy.
But good to see that these originals are still around making their voice heard!

Keep on rapping, boyz!
Exactly the kind of song I run away from and come to RadioParadise for.
least expected band to hear on RP, but more than welcome! Much better than many other recently added songs, and with strong lyrics as usual from Public Enemy
Is rap becoming increasingly more common here?
Keep diversifying Bill - most of us appreciate it. There's always going to be someone who rates an instant '1' anything that pushes the RP envelope...
