With the exception of "arms", I'd say most churches are fairly militarized. Many refer to themselves as "God(tm)'s army" or "soldiers of the lord", and many are "at war" with evil/heathens/sin...

Problem is, power never really transitions - it still belongs to those with the money. Elected representatives are a dog & pony show, puppets controlled by the corporations/bankers who put them in office.
