Looking on this cover I'm willing to make an anouncement: I'm looking for a tube receiver by The Fisher, 400, chassis only. Running condition, but to refurbish with parts they offer on ebay. Tubes not necessary. Monetary exchange and shipping must be discussed, but I do know what it's worth it!
Please take contact to pjhome at)) gmx.net
Having fallen off the Ray LaMontagne wagon a decade ago, I listened to a minute of this thinking it was one of his mid-2010s cuts. I'm happy he's doing the same thing, but I guess I expected some evolution.

This was always good and inoffensive Gen-X/millennial cooking dinner/drinking wine background music.

Holy cow... I guess I wasn't imaging that I was hearing this song every other day.
Love the reel-to-reel! The Akai portable that my father brought home from Southeast Asia in 1971 is safely ensconced in a waterproof tote in a friend's shed, still working a couple of years ago last I checked. Dad's singing is somewhere in that tote, literally.

I was boooorrrn to love you,
I was boooorrrn to lick your face,
I was boooorrrn to rub you,
but you were born to rub me first.

Some artists with a lack of inspiration become schmaltzy.

So true
Cloudy day here in Genoa, but hey, look! It's a Ray of sunshine.
Stop singing and get on with it!

Where do I find Ty Webb's gem?

Disagree. Ouroboros and Supernova albums have a completely different style and sound and shows Ray demonstrating a much wider vocal range.

OMG - me too...  Ouroboros his collab with Jim James was fucking amazing.  It's was his Dark Side I think.

Funny, but you have totally ruined this lovely song for me!
Fantastic song thanks bill
Should be followed up by “I Was Made For Loving You”, I’d say.
A beautiful tune. Thanks RP.
Monovision?  Monotone?

Ray hasn't evolved or added much over the years...not sure that this inspires the interest that his earlier albums created.  The dangers of having a distinct sound...keep dropping the bucket into the same well and you keep getting the same water...after a while folks might like a soda or a beer...

Love this more every time I hear it.

I disagree, although his voice is very distinct, he has explored some pretty diverse music styles on his last the or four albums. The voice is the same but the music is very different. Sunny pychedelia, moody prog, blues. He tried a little of it all. To playing, I might add

New Ray!!

This is actually quite beautiful.

The date is album release date, not single release date. Its common for a single to be released first.
Lovely mellow vibe.  Thanks RP.
Any Ray is a good ray

The date is correct.  That is when the album comes out.
