I saw a light, just up ahead
But I couldn't seem to rise up from my bed
I'm not alone, than I am
People seem to think I'm superman
But I watch for the love
I'm living in the day of the eagle, the eagle not the, dove
Its like a weight, that brings me down
If I don't move, I'm on the ground
Its in my mind, it's in my soul
Its telling me the things I can't be told
Its a watch for the love
Living in the day of the eagle, eagle not the, dove
Another day, another night
I want to love, they want to fight
I need the time, I got to be alone
I got to meet a lover on my own
I watch for the love
Living in the day of the eagle, eagle not the, dove
But I couldn't seem to rise up from my bed
I'm not alone, than I am
People seem to think I'm superman

Thanks, Proclivities. I'd always assumed it was a 3-D rendering of the sonic waves emanating from Mr Trower's stack of Marshalls.

Wow. This does this transport me to a completely different time.
Not sure why I gave this a 1 - Must have been in a pretty bad mood that day. Bumped it up quite a bit today.
Dang, Robin. You got old, like me!

Saw these guys in 75 or 76 with King Crimson. They were tight and at first everyone was like, "Hendrix rip off!" But after the first couple of songs they really got into the Trower style.

I remember this overblown soulless "virtuoso" from the 70s. Rubbish then and rubbish now.

terribly dated shtick. listening to his impersonation just makes me love Jimi more

Any Trower is welcome, but he's still regularly putting out outstanding material and yet nothing from this century seems to make it onto playlists. There's over 11 releases to choose from, give them a try!!

I saw Robin Trower live in Dallas in 1975 touring Bridge of Sighs. It was one of my favorite albums then and remains so today. Classic & timeless.

I had the honor of seeing him in concert back in the 70s. Not very many people came to see him. His response? "Fuck it, I'm going to play a long set just for you that showed up" He proceeded to do just that.

He was also doing what Pearl Jam was doing in the 1990s, but I don't remember what song that would be.
